I drive a lot, and they're UPF 50+ to protect my hands from the sun. I also don't use a steering wheel cover. I learned that lesson with my last car—the grippy inner lining eventually stuck to the wheel and pulled off some of the top coat when I removed it. I'm also not about to spend 3+ hours stitching on an expensive one, so a good pair of driving gloves does double duty and protects the steering wheel too.
