Belgium has announced that it will recognize the State of Palestine at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, joining Australia, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom. In the announcement, Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot also confirmed that Belgium will impose strict sanctions on Israel.
