Nostr relays will never die. Ever. For many reasons including your privacy.
If you ever try to replace relays with direct P2P from users to users, You risk everyone to have their IPs leaked to public.
Trying to turn the relay spec to be as complex to the point that anyone barely understand what's happening will simply make #nostr grows slowly or just never grows.
