Martyr John, a merchant, was in Crimea when a Venetian merchant, envious of his success and faith, falsely accused him of renouncing Christianity. Despite torture and being dragged behind a horse, John refused to deny Christ. He was beheaded in Belgorod. Let us pray to #Saint John the New, that through his intercessions, we may stand firm in our #Faith, and be strengthened to confess Christ always. #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr #Prayer
