Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil was tortured for confessing Christ, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering. When Stratonic confessed his own faith, both were condemned. They were bound, cast into the Danube, and perished for their unwavering belief.
