Well most of us were driven to using ad blockers as publications started packing more and more ads around their articles and between paragraphs. Animated or video ads are especially distracting when you're trying to read.

#zaps can fix this. Most of these publications I only read 2-5 articles a month so they're not worth $29.99/month to me, therefore paywalling their articles this way only ensures that I'll never read them again. But what if I could pay per article?

Instead of covering the article with a subscription signup, cover it with a lightning invoice so that I can pay for that one article and read it.
