The United States has notified Iraq that any future trade or investment agreements will be contingent upon the disarmament of Iran-backed militias — including Kataib Hezbollah, Asaib Ahl al-Haq, and the Badr Organization. Washington emphasized that Baghdad must limit the influence of Iran’s Quds Force to preserve Iraq’s sovereignty and pave the way for deeper bilateral cooperation.
