I am pretty bullish on building a nfc tap, pay and share network that operates privately and invisibly, even from the Lightning Network.
The #nostr #safebox server, when an instance is deployed, just becomes part of a larger invisible network. If the safebox server happens to be taken down, the data still persists ‘out there’ on relays, and can be recovered to another safebox server.
Below, is a simplified #nostr #safebox suitable for a nfc key fob that can act as a fully functional wallet than can:
1. Login to a device
2. Provide a payment
3. Accept a payment
4. Share (offer) a record
5. Present a selected record.
Still early in the prototype, but all the mechanisms are largely proven out. I am excited where this going because I now see a fully-functional wallet capability that is independent of mobile OS platforms, banks and governments- just the internet!
