Venerable Nicodim, a beacon of monasticism in 14th-century Romania, established the Tismana Monastery. Legend says, while searching for the perfect site, his donkey collapsed from exhaustion. From that very spot, a spring of healing water miraculously burst forth, seen as a sign from God. He built the monastery there, a sanctuary of prayer and Romanian spiritual renewal.
