Iranian reports indicate that the electronic “countdown clock” in Tehran, which was meant to mark Israel’s destruction, has stopped functioning following a power outage.
The outage comes amid a heat wave and ongoing weaknesses in Iran’s power grid. The clock, installed after a 2015 statement by Supreme Leader Khamenei predicting Israel’s destruction within 25 years, has gone dark due to chronic electricity shortages caused by infrastructure failures and mismanagement.
