#Freespeech is under attack and we know it. Technology like nostr is great, but we who care also need to influence our mutuals in society. The following is dangerous, shameful and outright totalitarian.
One of the largest political parties in Sweden recently launched the idea of totalitarian control measures of the internet.
They talk about requiring government ID verification for use of social media.
And they talk about instituting an internet police division for investigating online speech.
Cuddled in words of protection, safety etc. It is just actual groundwork for internet fascism this political party suggest to implement.

It's a tragedy for #nostr onboarding that @nprofile…se3k isn't easily available in the google play store.
I've come to realize that keychat is the best onboarding experience for normies as it easily demonstrates the power of nostr logins, sats direct to musical artist and contain a chat for you to be in contact over.
Most normies aren't looking for twitter replicas, although it's wonderful that they exist.
If there's anything we can do to help keychat get accepted to google play, that would be great.

A potential setup I pondered is to have the nsec as a base layer without keyrotation; but with the ability to generate nsec-l2 accounts that get verified via the nsec-l1. And that the nsec-l2 is generated by nsec-l1+passphrase signing the creation of the nsec-l2 address.
Then sort out the acocunt / identity association via the clients.

Addition: these things can't be done automatically as the follow link is stored on the follower. They would need to sign a change to their follow list for it to happen. There could be a suggested follow event though, that the follower need accept and sign manually.

You could still use the account on relays not synced with that. Besides relays are allowed to delete any events they want, so one could just delete the event and go on with the day.
Another important nostr data note is that time isn't verified by anyone. I could post notes and back-/futuredate them however I want. There is no ledger.

A potential danger is if an attacker uses that event. Then your followers are transfered to an account you don't control away from the account you control -- and someone else isni charge of your presumed identity.
The benefit of current situation is that if the attacker figures out your nsec, then at least you got equal access to whatever followers you gathered and can send warning messages about the attack.
Possibly even send signed messages to your followers if you have some other well established crypto key pgp or similar that they trust.

The US has a good federal standard for Freespeech. But in a truer sense of the concept Freespeech is about being able to speak without violent intervention from anyone / anything. Both bitcoin & nostr are built for removing ability to block speech. The final ground is boosting the culture that allows speech to be free. That's extremely important.

People don't talk enough about how annoying the Swedish healthcare system is.
Always praised by healthy people who barely use it. Then you know some old people who are in need of care and you realize it's a part time job needed to help them navigate and get the care they need.
Fighting for getting their care organized, delivered and on time. Seeking the kind of doctors that actually help and prescribe what's needed rather than stalling. They're budgeting you so you might get delayed treatments that turn preventable diseases into deadly ones.
This happened to three people I know by now. And they sadly passed away.
All that's just on the really sick end. If on average healthy young person end...
Well, often when seeking medical advice it also says something like "do this, but also ask your doctor." Who? I don't have a doctor, never had. We basically don't get frequent medical checkups like the Americans get.
And if it's something, we sort of always do home treatments. Seeking out the public healthcare, ehhh rather not. It's qued and annoying to spend time on plus you'll likely get some garbage advice at the other end or something you already knew you needed.
The care that works is the Emergency care, and the chronic disease help. All else is just a mess and I personally stay away from seeking it out as it is so annoying.
And having seen grand parents etc. fare badly in the system I always think; gulp. I rather not be sick in Sweden.
One day I'll move away of start paying for my own private Healthcare insurance. It's getting more and more popular here, because it's just a better experience. And no the public system is not in need of more money, it needs better management. Because that's the problem.
So. That's my rant. To many healthy people praise it, not enough sick people have time writing about it. I just lost a relative in this system; I felt obliged to at least rant some.
Let them rest in peace.
Let Swedish healthcare improve some day, letting more private options in or some other pressure on management improvement would be great.
