Thanks for the lesson. I have an android with cheogram that I’ve been testing. Still have my iPhone on Verizon. If I never switch the SIM, I can’t make emergency calls from out on the street, right? Have to have WiFi. That’s my sticking point. Of course I survived for years with no cell phone, but it’s hard to go back

Sorry, in the words of Detective Columbo, just one more thing - I do have an albi wallet, created that before I could get into Damus and I was using astral in my laptop. I have noted your comments about that being a one stop zap in the pod, but I don’t think Damus let me use that when I first signed up. Maybe I can now?

One more thing to add - I tied my fountain wallet to Damus so I could receive zaps, but when I send them, that’s not a choice so I’ve been choosing Muun as I have enough in there too. I thought I received a zap from you because of a clip because I did get a “deposit” of 1000 in my fountain wallet, which looked different from rewards within fountain. But on Damus it has nothing in my account for zaps. Thank you for your responses and patience, but I’m sure you’re helping others with your answers

I did that same thing a couple months ago. I wiped out the old laptop and put Linux on because I heard that wouldn’t take up as much space as windows. Then started Bitcoin core. 2 days later it failed because old laptop didn’t have a large enough hard drive. So I ordered a new SSD from Amazon and replaced the old drive (it was easy, just a couple screws in the back of my laptop and a YouTube video). Reinstalled Linux and Bitcoin core and success!

I’ve done that, but haven’t moved any of my wallets to my own node. People say that’s the safest way, but it seems like I’d have to make sure something is backed up. I mean, I understand the whole blockchain is backed up by 40,000 nodes all over the world, but if I put my wallet on my node, does that need backup?

Oh, I think I did get the zap. I saw it in my fountain wallet and wondered what it was for. I tied that wallet to Nostr to keep the sats in one place

Too late now, but throw a garlic clove in the tulip bulb planting hole in the fall. That keeps critters from digging up bulbs. I have a rabbit problem, but daffodils are poisonous so I plant my tulips surrounded by daffodils and it “camouflages” the tulips. Lastly, I’ve built chicken wire “hats” to go over the entire raised bed, which works pretty well. My tulips for cutting are in their jail cell right now, almost ready to cut

I use Damus on my iPhone and astral.ninja on my windows PC. Astral.ninja takes a long time to load and sometimes I only see one person I’m following, even though I’m on the “following” feed so I might try Iris. I also use alby to save my keys

I have received a few sats from someone else. I originally linked Alby wallet on Astral. Then I also was finally able to get on Damus on my phone and on that one I chose Muun, but I don't think it ever asked for my muun address.I'm a little confused about the different clients
