everything about wells is stupid expensive. Drilling, pumps, it's all ridiculous.
Let alone you never know if you're going to find water if you drill, but the money will be spent.
I miss living rural, but I definitely don't miss stressing about the well.

While we think about #Jasper, Slocan Valley is facing similar dangers. The fire jumped Slocan Lake from Valhallas Provincial Park and is now just north of New Denver.
Silverton has been evacuated and a friend of mine has bags packed watching the flames on three sides of her.

It appears there are two air ambulances on the way into Jasper, CWA924 from Grande Prairie and CWA935 from Edmonton.
Assuming they're coming in to help evacuate the hospital.

Honestly a Black woman and a gay man would make the far right so angry but they wouldn't be able to say anything about it without exposing themselves.
Not only that, but Harris is a former prosecutor. The Dems can literally paint this as a "Law and Order" vs Convicted Criminal and flip so much of Republican talking points on their head.
Buttigieg as the VP nominee matches a lot of JD Vance's appeal - almost th same age, a veteran, and could turn JD into his worst parts in a debate.

Yesterday I was picking up something in Wîhkwêntôwin and found a woman collapsed half on the sidewalk and half on the street. I went and picked up what I needed and saw she was still collaped.
I went over to her and asked if she was okay with no response. I called 911.
The EMS dispatcher asked me to time her respiratory rate which resulted in 3 very shallow breaths per minute.
She asked me to make sure nothing was under her had and that she was laying on her back.
