FWIW... genocide is such a regular thing, historically speaking, you'd be amazed. I can tell you that my and my wife's families have been ethnically cleansed from their homelands more than 6 times. If you are N. American your nation has been stolen 'fair & square' from its previous owners. (Sarcasm, sorry) It's never right, not ethical or moral. Keep that part in mind, but don't try to fix that which is out of your control. It's too frustrating.

I think enjoying a Presidency might just be an oxymoron... Surviving a Presidency ought to be our objective. I doubt we'll survive #Trump.

I resemble the "old fart" comment, being one myself.
I have to agree that disappointment in voting choice has been a constant during my 50 years of voting eligibility. My mom always told me that Adolph (Hitler) was the only honest politician she'd ever known. He said that if people voted for him, they wouldn't recognize Germany in 10 years. Sure enough, those who survived didn't.

I just completed a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel called Uncle Bernac. It's short and quite excellent. Read it if you can. It discusses Napolean in great detail... you'd swaer you are reading about #Putin, #Trump, #Hitler... you get the point.

Voting for a sub-optimal candidate is much better than letting the worst candidate win. Voting for the evil of lessers... is better than handing your children's future to the devil.
