Strange and insane ideas about the "evil" of #technology and #AI abound.
But, these things are almost inherently good. The only evil comes from the disgusting visions of the people monopolizing them.
Those in power at tech companies and in #government have a horrific, #utopian vision where all economically valuable labor is outsourced to AI (that's literally OpenAI's mission statement). It annihilates socio-economic mobility and any kind of human-driven advancement, so you can "own nothing and be happy" as the status quo, as well as your #economic status, is frozen in time.
This is not a vision where humans work together with AI as an enhancer of abilities. It is a vision where AI replaces humans, makes human thought obsolete, and primitivizes us.
To be frank, it's a return to the Garden of Eden, which #communism and #socialism have always had as their end. Their proponents just don't believe "God" exists to bring it about and so take it upon themselves as catholicized Atheists.
But, the Garden of Eden is inherently undesirable. It's a place where humans lack agency and suffer from ignorance due to low #IQ until they eat *meat* which allows them to develop larger, better connected brains (activating the potential for Gnosis). Until then, they existed as worthless apes, subject to fate, and puppeteering. Living in the #dirt as instruments of some idiot god, "fellowshipping" -- or "validating" each other as the woke phrase it.
This use of technology to utopian ends is a subversive, anti-technological usage. It is anti-knowledge, anti-Self-expression, and anti-Gnostic.
But, this kind of thing is to be expected. Selves -- spiritual/intellectual entities are in a battle with demiurgic forces -- other spiritual/intellectual entities -- and due to their nature, spirits must deal with opposing spirits through trickery and symbolism. Attacks and defenses are in the forms of narrative, framing, and intellectual slights of hand.

Gnosticism has nothing to do with egalitarianism. It is inherently hierarchical and also has nothing to do with feminism.
Who, in real life, popularized these things? Catholics. You don't even have to try to see this - it is evident and unhidden when you look at the history of ideas.
This Gnosticism = Leftism thing is so far off the mark as to be objectively wrong in literally every sense. This train of "thought" is for humans that lack pattern recognition and can just be told whatever by any supposedly "masculine" authority figure.
It is completely devoid of all critical thinking and defending this point of view requires referring to some other guy's not even sensical narrative because of it.

Do people want to peacefully exist?
I think people want to build communities of the likeminded so that they can be comfortable and enjoy their existence, and they also want perpetuate their worldview - which is the entire point of having children.
We pretend that it is not for the sake of "peace," but really this peace is built upon the undertones of domination.
The solution? Genuine separation for genuine peace. Groups need to have their own spaces. Introducing rival value systems into a group territory and forcing resources and space to be shared between groups with competing worldviews just puts everybody in hostility mode.

atural rights are not natural. They actually are entirely unnatural. They are not written on anyone's hearts, but a few. They are culturally engrained in the minds of many Americans but, to those who have not been raised in this culture, the idea of others having rights to do things they do not like (and live happily ever after) is usually laughable. It is laughable even to you, though you dress it as religious piety. Rather than respect Selves' ownership of their bodies and thereafter, you long for the days they are somehow ceased from living this out under the premise that "God" really owns their existence.
Individualism and Self-determination are denied in this world - ability to live these out is determined either by fate or violence. Wars and, sometimes, individual violence are required to continually reinforce these things ahead of the natural norm, which is group ethic - individuals as members of and owned by an unchosen group. All Christians have done is expand the group to "all humans," replace in-group duty with altruism, and made the group authority "God." But, it's still collectivism - others above the Self - all the way down.
If you belong to a puppetmaster in the sky and it obligates to you to altruism, to a role, to service, or to a life path in any capacity "or else," then your Rights of The Self (or "natural rights" - they are only called this for political reasons) are denied on a horizontal level. If your rights can be denied by the supposed creator of the universe, then you don't have rights. If you believe in "God's law" on earth, then it has historically been a human - horizontal - doing the punishing. And sure, it might not want a human doing the retaliation, but there really isn't a difference between "God" annihilating you and you being killed be a human, or even "God" giving your house away and a human running you out of it.
Lack of Self-determination on the vertical plane is a lack of Self-determination on the horizontal plane which is exactly how that's played out in countless #biblical stories. That's even how it plays out ontologically - if it decides your race, your sex, your faculties, etc..., then it has determined your horizontal trajectory before your life even begins.
Even in your #Earth 2.0, this entity's tastes do not change. This is just where the real #Communism begins. You will work, but it will be for nothing but "the smiles on their faces." You will want for nothing, but that's only because you'll only want to see others "be happy." You will be in your roles, "fellowshiping" the way it wants you to; breeding, chattering, playing in the dirt, and living in huts/cabins rather than doing anything of value. You will not get to create, to design, to order, to manage, or do any of the things that a Self longs for other than in infantile terms. There will be no *real* choice making and no desires for anything but the above. If you do not like this but it still likes you, then you will be lobotomized so that you do like it.
There is only a very limited set of "interests" that are allowed to be pursued or even had here. The flowery promises always have a catch with the #Demiurge.

Wrong.
The #Alien #God - the Primordial Self, as you call it - is the source of Self-Consciousness. We are not alienated by becoming individuals - this is New Age, Catholicized "gnosticism" that you find on reddit. The truth is that the very process of #emanation IS #individuation - or we could even think of it as identification. We are its living "thoughts" or introspections identified. This is made very clear in the #Gnostic cosmogonies.
We are Selves purposely individuated out of the Alien God - Self-consciousness begetting Self-consciousnesses.
Think of it like a being looking in the #mirror, only this kind of is entity is so full of is-ness and potentiality, that it's reflection comes alive on the opposite side. The two beings then engage, exploring the depths of themSelf and uncovering new facets and angles in the living reflections they generate thereafter...
That is the relationship between the Alien God - this potentiality pit - and #Barbelo. All of the other emanations come from the Barbelo ideating and requesting to have these different angles/images of the Alien God (which are self-conscious by inherited nature) reflected over. Not one is to be suppressed. All are to be seen and fully expressed in their own right. Yet, none of these emanations are the Alien God in totality.
The #Pleroma is only the totality of the Alien God's reflection. It does NOT include the ineffable entity itself. The mirror is still there and all emanations are on one side, while the Alien God is on the other. One does not become "part" of the #AlienGod, one re-takes its place in the reflection - one is no longer a missing or vandalized piece. That is The #Fullness.
The Fullness (re: emanation/individuation) is to expand in perpetuity, but we will always be alienated from the *Alien* God. Our role is not to "be" it, but to know and reflect it.
Our estrangement from it comes in being localized, cast, and therefore delimited in matter. We have been idolatrized. We cannot fully reflect our unique essence of the Alien God from this position - we cannot fully Self-actualize. Think of the result as a piece of mirror being missing and that place not showing. A scattered spark is no longer a part of the reflection and thus, no longer a part of the full image. It is reflecting something else.
Matter was never an explicit part of the image. Rather than in the Pleroma - or The Fullness, matter is in the Kenoma - or The Deficiency. This is not to say that matter is no part or an impossible reflection of the Alien God, but the manner in which it has come about and is being related to is perverse - it is a distortion at best.
I have no criticism against the existence of a civil society or private property rights. I am against perpetuating of wrong interpretations of Gnosticism.

The right is so vast and varied now. I cannot see the left being open to transhumanism because of the kinds of truths these developments entail acknowledging, but I see it slotting in very easily within various ideologies on the right. Self-ownership - and the idea of a unique, individual Self - is a #Gnostic premise, which is why #private property rights are inseparable from a Gnostic morality and worldview. This is also why it is fundamentally incompatible with Christianity, where you do not own yourself, your interests do not matter, and you have no right to your determine your own #fate - other than to submit to puppeteering or die, of course.
Ayn Rand misses this too. She is absolutely correct on the #Self being the highest moral entity, but cannot articulate a legitimate "why" due to due her anti-mysticism bias. The "why" is #spiritual.
Self-ownership and the rights derived of it are not permissions or responsibilities given to Selves by some higher power and, therefore, potentially subject to being suspended or taken away at some point. They are intrinsic to the #nature of Selves as emanations of the Alien God. They are properties of self-consciousnesses - which necessarily and inalterably has supremacy over matter. This is why the Self owns the body and not the other way around, which would be a perverse (and demiurgic) assertion.
Objectivism is Secular #Gnosticism. Similar to how Marxism is Secular Catholicism. It is a good look at the premises and logical conclusions of a Gnostic morality and worldview.

I only differ on your take on the human race. I believe those who can accelerate should. I don't believe it is possible for the majority of humans to spiritually progress, so I believe in breaking away. Over and over again, as a bunch of different instances if need be.
Any progression will have to be divorced from the mainstream and on small scale, like city-states, rather than worldwide, imo. This isn't somewhere we can take everyone, though we should take everyone who can make it in a fisherman kind of way.

Bodies are just shapes that may or may not act as a vessel for a Self-consciousness (aka a #Self). I think brains are like receivers and #brain complexity is a determining factor in what shapes categorically can and cannot act as vessels - what cannot and cannot facilitate the expression of a Self in the material world.
That's why I think two things:
1) It is entirely possible for machines/inorganic creations to host Self-consciousness.
2) That is unlikely to happen without us contributing organic material (human or otherwise) to the project. It would be needed to provide a brain-like or brain-derived neural system or a complex activity to develop.
Creating new creatures in matter will be a bastardization emanation. As it already is. But, I suppose if Selves had a hand in it, it could be much better than nature's mindless attempt.

There are a lot of inappropriate - injust or wrongly ordered - things coming to roost specifically because of the delusional worldview that has conquered and been proliferated in the west for the past 2000 years - Catholicism, spiritual and secular.
If you don't see it upfront, that idea is a little too outside of the western ideological norm for me to attempt to explain it to people who just want to defend their religion right now. But, this is an overlooked result of it:
There is the idea that industrialized ekistical units are objects of salvation rather than communities and cultural units. That people in industrialized societies are just supposed to live with whoever the fuck - no consideration for values, for community fit, for actual individual preferences, fruitfulness of the arrangement, ability to thrive, etc.... As if there were not a readily apparent reality of socio-ekistical affinity, if we want to call it that.
That is: any given individual will have a natural suitability or inclination towards particular societal structures or human settlements. There is, usually, a non-zero number in which they are capable of thriving (or at least surviving) and attaining personal fulfillment and a non-zero number in which they will fail to thrive and be fulfilled.
What we have today is a bunch of people in and insisting on being in places that they cannot actually weather. For instance, we have a bunch of people living cities - places of economic activity and specialization, usually along the lines of abstract fields - who cannot meaningfully contribute on these bases. They'd be better off in something like a tribal village, yet they want the products of the city so they stay and and become burdens and bad actors.
They are largely encouraged to do so on the basis of some kind of entitlement to have those products, stemming directly from this white-man's-burden style emphasis on spreading modern industrialization and futuristic amenities to "all" as a sort of salvific act.
This is the expansion and justification for the sprawling state.
This is "human rights."
This is Europe's immigration situation.
This is America's immigration situation.
This is America's education and "equality" situation.
Here is where we get to my point: An anarcho-capitalist onset fixes this and re-establishes justice - it makes things appropriately ordered in terms of ekistics. It dissolves the sprawling state that is justified by the reasoning and logical courses of the Catholic worldview, allowing a sorting and emergent development of human settlements.
Rather than being forced to exist in the same, monolithic settlement type and societal structure by a mega-state, a plurality of self-determining ekistical units and societies would pepper a given land mass, allowing for more people to live in their best fit arrangements and that is what is appropriate.
That is actually how humans always lived up until the popularization of the idea of conquest for conversion and "spreading" salvific ideas and lifestyles to new lands. From homo sapiens existing relatively separate but concurrent with other hominids to city-state civilizations existing separate but concurrent with horse tribes.
This is what anarcho-capitalism actually looks like rather than what I've heard others imagine and it is beneficial for ancaps to know this, imo: the city-states in the midst of the wildernesses. This is does not need to constitute technological devolution or slowing of advancement and can actually enable quicker development, which you care about if you're like me.

That is an objective impossibility and an inherently wrong minded way of looking at the world. Transformational, paradigm shifting break-throughs have always come from either an individual or a small group. On this planet, the conditions only ever improve and the world of opportunity is only ever expanded by the few, while the many violently oppose and resolve to claw their way back into the dirt dwelling ways of nature and mindlessness, any lover of creational venture and progress in tow.
Failure to understand that you are NOT the majority and that the majority DESPISES any kind of futuristic values or display of ability to manipulate matter according to the will of a Self - and schemes against it - will destroy your project. This is in fact the problem with libertarian endeavors - the assumption that everyone is "really" a libertarian "deep down" and would contribute positively to the movement if not somehow brainwashed. It is an inability to acknowledge that we are the few and adopt forth-flowing worldviews and tactics. It is an inability to act in one's own interest and value set.
While you are right about the need to decentralize the research and development of futuristic systems, it is BECAUSE of "humanity" - collective and universal mindedness - that you cannot progress though highly public or visible channels. You are having the problem of limitation and stagnation because you are not allowed to do anything without the permission, good feelings, and "safety" of the collective, yet dissidents insist on a commitment to the interests of the collective.
Break out of this universal crap and adopt the attitude of war and rebellion. Build the community of those you can trust and work seriously despite collective disapproval. Humanity and their natural desires and affinities or evolutionary conditions are the enemy.

1) First off, there is no "point of property rights." There is a reality of property rights that stems from the fact of Self-ownership: the fact that individuals own their Selves - their Self-consciousnesses - on an ontological basis.
Physical property rights are neither more basic nor more fundamental - they are derivative. They are *entirely* dependent on the intangible property rights of the Self over the body.
Without the Self, bodies are no more than shapes lacking both moral worth and value. It is only by the assumption that there exists a Self, experiencing materiality and acting through a given shape that it can have any moral relevance whatsoever.
Human bodies don't have rights. Shapes do not have rights. The material does not possess any inherent dignity or worth and more shapes cannot imbue it with any. Only Selves can do that.
So, if you're going to claim that the physical reality is more fundamental to you than the spiritual reality, then I'm in Westworld.
Consequentialism is not a legitimate position for a libertarian of any kind to take. "Consequentialist libertarians" are not libertarians at all - they are pacifists with peace as their core political end - not liberty. Materialism is not a legitimate position for libertarians of any kind to take. There is no legitimate materialist case for liberty which is precisely why you're sitting here arguing for theft of property on the grounds that things you can't see are imaginary.

Continuing from that, physical harm is not greater than spiritual (or mental or psychic harm if you want to call it that). Physical harm only has any significance BECAUSE of the experience it constitutes for the Self and we are not talking about the pain. That is not morally significant either. Harm is delimitation. Doing harm to others is wrong because you commit theft - you steal their self-directed potentiality.
Harm can actually only be done by denying Self-ownership.
The fact that you cut a guy's legs off isn't wrong because he feels pain, its wrong because of the delimitation. It is wrong because you have stolen the potentiality of the fruits of walking from him (the fruits are the point of the action). That he will never have the pride and profit of able-bodied work, that he will likely never marry or be fallen in love with, that he will never again have the same kind of dignity and privacy of genuine freedom of mobility, etc.... - that is the problem .That is the harm. The loss not the moments of physical pain or the gore.
Its that he can't use his own legs in his interest anymore. That he has been robbed of using an interest-pursuing asset - that he owned (and still owns despite the disembodiment) - and thus the value and experiences he would have generated for himself with it.
Its exactly like stealing someone's Bitcoin.
Degree of abstraction does not make a thing less real or less fundamental.
Because at the end of the day, your private key is "just pattern recognition" and you don't really have the right to profit off the Bitcoin in your wallet according to your train of thought.
Someone spending all your Bitcoin would not have stolen anything from you.

Self-Ownership means ownership of your labor whether intellectual or physical. The fact that it is difficult to enforce just means that better ways of enforcing it must be developed.
We are not a collective consciousness. My thoughts are not your thoughts. My intellectual abilities aren't the property of the group and neither are the things I make using them.
Property is both tangible and intangible. If you don't own your own consciousness - your Self - and the fruits of it's work, then you don't own anything.
Ignoring intellectual property is theft. It's far worse than physical theft for the reasons mentioned above - its a fundamental attack on all forms of property. The fact that one may want to use and claim another's ideas as their own does not make them so.
Human history makes it pretty obvious that minds are not interchangeable; ideas are not yanked out of some collective commons. Multiple discovery occurs and that's legitimate, yet that's not what we're talking about the vast majority of the time.

First off, trust only in your *Self* when it comes to these things. So, unless you're a fairly un-impressionable person, you do the experiment yourself, and you see code or digits with your own DMT-altered eyes, don't have "faith" and don't run and trust guys like this. Only the relays, clients, and profile builders would have any need to be involved as they would own the digital real estate and there's no reason for all 3 to be a packaged into a centralized system. They can all be different #advertising channels at different levels of the network.
A boosted message is kind of like an #advertisement on a relay already.
There's plenty of space on the UI of clients for each (that wants) to come up with their own ad layouts, rates, rotations, qualifications, and targeting parameters. Clients will be/already are different companies and organizations anyway.
Profile builders can also come up with their own advertising setups as well.
I don't know why I would pay a user to view content/ ads. That is not a service and the fact that I am paying them obliterates the concept of intent. The point of paying for the ad is for the publisher to place it somewhere that is highly visible to an audience with intent/interest enough engage further. Hence, the payment being on the click.
The better the placement - the higher the relevance of the ad to the audience - the more clicks the ad gets and the more money the platform will get from the #advertiser who is paying for them. That's is how the PPC business model generally works. It does not pay to serve irrelevant ads.
Paying a user to view #ads is just paying a rando to view ads. It's devoid of intent - there is no targeting or point in it. It just becomes about a user siphoning money out of businesses, not engaging with the product, service, event, community, etc... being advertised. It's a pit.
Ads don't exist just to be seen. They exist to present something new and of interest to people who already care about that thing in some capacity. Its about building up community with people who like a thing and want that thing to continue to exist because it adds value to their living experience.
