As for degoogling… Haven gone down the road, best way for me was to get an unlocked google pixel and flash the CalyxOS onto it. Still allows you to use apps that need google services, but anonymizes it. Hard to get through life without certain apps! I also like how you can create profiles for different uses. I have it set one for personal and one for work. With my business I have to use google business apps so couldn’t get around that, but having a separate profile on the phone did the trick!

Had a good time in the big city of Atlanta. Cool restaurants, museums, great beer spots, dancing to 80's music in a park in Decatur. Cities get a bad rap, but there are good people and fun things to do. I was ready to get back to the country after a few days. Interesting to see how the hive mind works in a large city. Let me tell you about a fun little practice occurring in the healthcare space (Medical practice owner perspective). Medicare Advantage plans are enrolling people who are not of the mental capacity to understand what happened. So far I've come across a patient that's in a nursing home facing a $15,000 bill because they switched insurance during their stay and the facility hadn't a clue, and another patient switched from Medicare to Humana and didn't know it during their second eye surgery. Now facing a large bill unless I can get a retro-authorization from their new insurance. Be careful out there, check on your loved ones at the beginning of every year to see if they've been switched, especially if they are in a nursing home or not quite 100%. ☮️

Sometimes taking a break is good. Lots of work, but I’ve stuck with it for a while, went pro, closed my brewery when Covid hit, now back Homebrewing. It was a fun ride but managing a kitchen and employees, on top of my other business was too much! I’m glad to be back making and giving away beer for fun ;-)
