I really like this idea of highlighting Mastodon account of the author of an article. It's declared in HTML. I put it on my site. I suppose it will be up to clients to show it, assuming it makes it way to appropriate APIs or whatever.

Fascinating that deadmau5 doesn't even *like* electronic music.
Kind of a weird thing to be public about. Like I'm not sure I'd go see a show for entertainment knowing the artist doesn't even enjoy doing it. I wouldn't be able to think about anything else. Not that anyone should bottle up their feelings or whatever, or that you're required to be passionate about your job, it just makes me feel strangely.

Let’s say you’re on a big mission in the world. You think websites should be more accessible. Websites should work for anyone regardless of their disabilities. You also think the web right now is failing in this regard. There are far too many inaccessible websites existing and being created. You think that educating developers is great and that developers should make accessible websites, but that’s not doing enough.

That instinct so many of you smart people had, *why bother with a *`robots.txt`* file to block the bots they won't honor it anyway,* was absolutely correct.
I guess it's pretty obvious when they tell you how to "block" them only after they've drank your milkshake.

(But it should also work fine, just not animate, in other browsers. Some might even prefer that instant feel. This was specifically an exercise in transitioning to an auto `block-size` though, so save it.)

That only holds up though if *absolutely none* other dependencies are involved.
Like as nice as Lit is or whatever, that's a dependency, it will have a lifespan, and it imposes that same lifespan on your Web Components.
I have no answers to this, just sayin'

jQuery plugins depended on jQuery, and when jQuery went out of favor, they ended up in the junkyard.
There is all sorts of componentry built exclusively on React, limiting it to React-based sites. As React goes out of favor, they will end up in the junkyard. (Same with any framework-specific extension.)
But with Web Components... it seems like the story will end differently. If they are built without dependencies, they might just live as long as the web does.
