Last Notes npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Thank you š npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan I left Europe, moved to Paraguay, and built my entire life around one brutal realization: The System Wonāt Change. But YOU Can. Waiting for governments to fix themselves is a loserās game. New article š https://hackinglives.com/en/blog/vv1jwy4yf9wfg09shhv0pyi7/the-system-wont-change npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan I do this every three months. I usually lower my carb intake for 1ā2 days beforehand, which makes the first day of fasting much easier. During the fast, I drink only water and coffee, and I supplement with salt, potassium, and magnesium glycinate. You can do it without supplements, but in my experience, youāll feel a bit more tired & weak if you skip them. The worst period is usually between 16 and 24 hours in. After that, your body fully switches into ketosis, your energy levels stabilize, and hunger decreases significantly. From there, itās mainly about staying well hydrated until you reach 72 hours. When breaking the fast, do it slowly with easily digestible foods such as avocado or vegetable soup. Then gradually return to your normal diet over the next day or two. npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Fasting is a very interesting discipline. Itās not easy, but the health benefits make it worth trying. https://blossom.primal.net/1984668874cff7b4b454fbe52bb2ccea0a97bdab9144193a5d9ee514414ab7a5.png npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan A little glimpse from our last Bitcoin meetup. Theyāre like walking Bitcoin Wikipedias. Yet they rarely show up to meetups and are often unwilling to share what they know by educating others. I understand why they hesitate. Being public about Bitcoin is an OPSEC nightmare, especially now as attacks on crypto holders are ramping up. Still, I believe itās more critical than ever to spread the word and fight for our sovereignty. Bitcoin itself wonāt save us if we donāt ensure we can use it the way free people do - P2P and permissionless. Time is ticking, and weāre still a small minority. There are many people left who need to understand, who have to start questioning the system and choose the path to true sovereignty. Sure, not everyone will get it - but we donāt have to convince everyone. We only need to reach critical mass... enough people to help us keep building in public instead of hiding in the shadows. Sovereign communities that become powerful enough to fight back and protect each other. Bitcoin is not about NGU. Itās not about getting rich fast. Itās about opting out, about sovereignty, about living life on your own terms - free. So the next time youāre weighing whether to spread the word or stay in the shadows, be brave. Even if you donāt feel like educating others yourself, please at least consider supporting those who do - and who accept the risks that come with it. Find a nearby community, send them some sats, zap their posts, or help with the infrastructure and behind-the-scenes tasks. Bitcoin educators and community builders are modern warriors. They donāt fight with swords - they fight with knowledge. We need more of them, and we need them fast. npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Looking forward to this one! After months of planning this event with Igor and Finn from @nprofileā¦5hm2, weāre excited to finally welcome them and give them the opportunity to share their insights on Bitcoin-backed loans and present their platform to the community! š„š #nevent1qā¦ks85 npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Paraguayās tax authority DNIT just issued Resolution NĀŗ47 (March 10, 2026) introducing a new requirement to report cryptoasset transactions. The stated objective is to help the government identify and track economic activity related to crypto. (In simple terms - surveillance). š According to the resolution, platforms, intermediaries, and service providers that deal with cryptoassets will now be required to submit transaction data to DNIT (local tax office) This includes information about users, transactions, operations involving cryptoassets and more. The regulation broadly defines ācryptoassetsā, including cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, tokens, NFTs and similar digital assets. Failure to report can lead to sanctions under the Paraguayan tax regime. At the same time, DNIT has reportedly begun working with Chainalysis, a blockchain surveillance company used by governments to track crypto transactions. This signals the start of large-scale automated blockchain monitoring in Paraguay. This is a very concerning move for the local ecosystem. Instead of encouraging innovation and adoption, Paraguay is building a financial surveillance framework around crypto. š¤¦āāļø And not only that - mass collection of sensitive transaction data creates serious privacy and security risks. Governments (and the Paraguay one in particular) have historically struggled to protect personal data, which too often ends up leaked online. Just yesterday, the Instituto de Previsión Social (https://ips.gov.py), a Paraguayan government public social institution, has reportedly fallen victim to the Kairos ransomware group which stole large dataset of its clients...ā¼ļø Paraguay has a real opportunity to become a global hub for crypto innovation and a leader in this emerging industry. However, policies like this risk achieving the opposite. They discourage builders, slow adoption, undermine financial privacy, and even threaten physical security of its own residents. ā ļø https://blossom.primal.net/a603c5583802220a8aa0c1580b14b64ea943fe4b24bca32d008d4bc887740f65.png https://blossom.primal.net/da00b87a3c81bbc700473bfb1a86907dc748d2487e9a9984362462bae53d765a.png https://blossom.primal.net/bceacb7309db0dc9eef76c371a653dbfc743d61ae268b2fdc41183ed7e91890c.png https://blossom.primal.net/421344c9e898ea2fb49959e2980b6e1d3c7eeed453a27f9c54e5f0e15a82e1d8.png npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Looking forward to this one! Why? Because they donāt want the credit-fueled party to end. When you build an economy on debt, the music has to keep playing⦠If it stops, the tough hangover hits. They fear inflation, yes - but they fear something even more - mass unemployment, cascading bankruptcies, and, above all, a government unable to service the enormous debt it has piled up over decades. So from their perspective, higher inflation is the ālesser evilā compared to a full-blown correction. What does this mean for us, the retail plebs? When new money is created without corresponding real economic production, prices rise and your purchasing power gets diluted. Everything becomes more expensive because the unit you measure value with - the dollar - keeps losing its meaning. 1 USD yesterday ā 1 USD today. The measuring stick is broken. And thereās only one rational response: OPT OUT. Save in bitcoin, the only truly scarce asset in the world, with a monetary policy as predictable as Swiss clockwork and immune to political manipulation. https://blossom.primal.net/9cef7e77bcd174fa814063547a534c9436cea5cef2c0585820bf16608c74d60b.gif npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan And there it is - the Fed goes brrrrr. šØļø $13.5B USD liquidity blast, the second-biggest since COVID. https://blossom.primal.net/0b083355dc3edd63b9ef3cb4bd5fb8c2fb5d2607c4e4ebdb066d3dc421012a31.gif npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan People keep demanding the state pay for EVERYTHING - healthcare, education, safety, pensions, public spaces, science, sports, you name it. But nobody wants to admit the obvious: the government isnāt a magical ATM with infinite money. YOU pay for it - through your paycheck, your taxes, inflation and ultimately your future (and your kidsā and grandkidsā futures too). And yes, youāre forced to bankroll services you donāt use, policies you donāt want, and systems you never asked for. So tell me again - how is that āfairā? npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Most bitcoiners I know spend bitcoin not because itās financially optimal, but out of conviction. To support sovereignty and adoption. And thatās what many people miss - if you want bitcoin to become global money, you actually should start using it. Spend and replace. Itās less comfy today, but itās one of the most meaningful contributions anyone can make. #nevent1qā¦k3jr npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Bitcoin is meant to be money - not just a āstore of valueā or ādigital gold.ā To be money, it has to actually be used as a medium of exchange. The more bitcoin circulates, the more adoption grows - and with adoption comes long-term appreciation, because bitcoin is scarce. Thatās why itās crucial to spend sats and support businesses that accept bitcoin. When sats move, business owners take Bitcoin seriously - and once they do, others follow. Moreover, the more places accept bitcoin, the more sovereign we become, because we rely less on government-regulated intermediaries. I hear this all the time: āWhy spend bitcoin when I can spend fiat?ā or āI save in bitcoin, but Iād rather spend fiat.ā Yes, we all know Greshamās Law - bad money drives good money out of circulation. But we must also remember Thiersā Law, which applies in the late stages of failing currencies - when bad money becomes so worthless that no one wants to accept or hold it anymore, and good money finally wins. If we want that future, we need to pay with bitcoin today. Spending it incentivizes businesses to accept it and a real circular bitcoin economy starts to form. As adoption grows, reliance on fiat shrinks, and people naturally move away from bad money. So yes - every bitcoin payment counts. Every merchant you convince is one more small win on the path to the Bitcoin Standard. And even if you only care about price, spending and replacing sats still drives adoption - and adoption drives appreciation. TL;DR: Spend. Replace. Onboard. Repeat. āļø npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Thereās so much positive news - the setup across every metric is the most bullish itās ever been: companies stacking sats, central banks buying, major players and institutions on board, QT officially over - yet the only thing the average Bitcoiner can think about is āHave we already seen the cycle top?ā š Wake up, legends. I got the same question on X earlier today. npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Several factors contribute to this growth: 1. Young Demographics: Over half of Paraguayās population is under 27 years old, driving demand for housing as young adults seek places to live. The fertility rate remains robust at approximately 2.3. 2. Stable Political Environment: A long-standing right-wing government provides stability, with no significant socialist or communist influences, unlike some Western countries. 3. Capital Influx: Political and economic instability in neighboring countries has made Paraguay a safe haven for foreign capital, attracting investors and residents. 4. Affordable Labor: Paraguay offers relatively low-cost labor compared to other countries, supported by a large, youthful workforce. 5. Growing Middle Class: Many young Paraguayans are pursuing higher education and embracing entrepreneurial opportunities, building small businesses and increasing local purchasing power. 6. Increasing Urbanization: Migration to Asunción is rising as people seek better opportunities and improved quality of life. 7. Influx of Foreigners: Favorable migration policies have led to a significant inflow of foreigners, with over 28,000 residency applications last year. Many expatriates, including digital nomads, are staying permanently or investing in properties for short- and long-term rentals. 8. Inflationary Currency: Limited access to foreign capital markets and an underdeveloped local market restrict investment options, encouraging Paraguayans to invest in real estate. 9. Low Taxes: Compared to Western countries, Paraguayās low tax rates allow residents to save more. A significant informal economy also means many pay minimal or no income taxes. Additional factors may contribute to this growth. Thereās a flood of Bitcoin lending companies pushing you to borrow fiat against your bitcoin to spend. Yeah, it might make financial sense, but itās not building Bitcoin economies. It depends on what your priorities are, what lifestyle you live and what job you have. npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Why Paraguay? 1. Culturally, it's still close to Europe/US (compared to, say, Asia). 2. There's plenty of space, and it's relatively easy to live "off the radar" (hectares of land can be bought cheaply, and building permits are processed quickly). 3. Paraguay has excellent cuisine (top-quality beef in the world). 4. The locals are welcomingāif you make at least a minimal effort to integrate (basic Spanish and respect for local culture), they will accept you with open arms. 5. TaxesāParaguay has a territorial tax system and a very simple tax structure (10% on local income). 6. If you stay away from politics and drugs, it's quite safe. Some of the better neighborhoods in Asunción are very safe (even at night). 7. No culture wars. 8. Crypto-friendlyācapital gains from crypto are not taxed, and it's even possible to buy real estate with crypto. Plus, there is now a strong Bitcoin community (@nprofileā¦clu0). 9. Family-friendlyāParaguayans love children, and family comes first. 10. Business environmentāParaguayans are capitalists, and a large portion of the population runs their own businesses. Success is celebrated, not shamed. There are also plenty of opportunities to start new ventures. 11. Geopolitically insignificantāSouth America is not a major geopolitical player and remains largely disconnected from the developed world (though this is changing rapidly). 12. Cheap transportationāyou can get around the city (Asunción) using Bolt or Uber for $1.5ā$5 (depending on distance). Diesel costs around $1 per liter. If you like big cars, it wonāt hurt your wallet as much. I could go on, but I think this gives a good idea... npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Asunción is currently the 4th most popular digital nomad destination in the world. 𤯠https://m.primal.net/PqoI.jpg npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Most Bitcoiners make crucial mistakes when onboarding new users to Bitcoin. They often focus too much on delivering information instead of motivating the listener to actually start paying attention to what they say. Focus on the problem, not the solution. Share stories of how Bitcoin has helped people, not just how Bitcoin works. Donāt worry - they will ask for more details if they're interested. If your mission is to onboard people around you to Bitcoin, the best thing to do is start a small community, organize regular meetups, and invite your friends and family to join. Become a Bitcoin beacon in your social bubble. Social acceptance is extremely important. Only a small percentage of people are willing to go against the mainstream and do things that their social circle considers weird or even bad. Thereās nothing more powerful than when people see their friends or family already using Bitcoin. If you manage to hook people into listening to you, start slow. Donāt overwhelm them with self-custody, privacy, UTXOs, and other advanced topics. Itās an absolute waste of energy and will do more harm than good. Instead, install them a simple wallet like Blink or WOS and send them some sats. The perception is that Bitcoin is very complicated - prove them wrong! Lastly, donāt be an arrogant idiot by insisting that the only true way to use Bitcoin is to be a Bitcoin maxi with a super advanced setup. People are not interested in your ego problems, sorry... npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan So much human capital is wasted because people aren't allowed to trade freely. npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan GM Nostr! ā npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan I rarely get emotional, but tonight I have tears in my eyes. Additionally, it would create a healthier environment for the mining industry, as it wouldnāt need to plan for the ālean years.ā I believe we would see slower but steadier growth, which is much better for businesses and anyone who wants to use bitcoin as money. npub1tp6w7td3sjnphrrsd9hacam4pqhudc5ylj6v5g2akcu4cl2pl49smp5hhr Jan Provocative thought š£: As someone running a business on the Bitcoin Standard and helping others accept Bitcoin payments, I deal with the challenges of Bitcoin's 4-year cycle daily. For businesses, this cycle is truly tough to navigate. In good years, you usually speculate on the upside and defer costs. But in bad years, you rush to pay costs quickly to avoid losses. Even healthy businesses with great products can fail if volatility and bad timing collide. Hedging becomes a necessity, adding another layer of complexity for often already complex businesses. For traders and speculators, Bitcoin's cycle is a blessing. But for businesses, itās a planning nightmare. While volatility may decrease as Bitcoin matures, itās still too significant to ignore. What can we do? Honestly, not much. Changing Bitcoinās monetary policy at this stage is nearly impossible. Still, I canāt help but think: Would Bitcoin adoption as money improve if the monetary policy were executed more gradually? Instead of halving every 210k blocks and causing supply shocks, what if block rewards decreased gradually with each block, based on a similar mathematical formula? š¤ I know this is controversial.
