I read the article and I was on the fence about starting it for this reason (nothing new). For me I feel like I learned everything I could between Stella O'Malley's podcast and when Megyn Kelly interviews detrans people.
And that's kind of the state of things, sadly. Nothing new but still disturbing.
I did feel like this conversation between Jillian Michaels and Kara Swisher was refreshing. Swisher is pants on head crazy if she thinks transphobia is largely an outlet of people who feel stymied in their true desire to oppress gay people 🙄

Oh I thought of a couple more! Sunny (Apple TV) is a great mystery and Rashida Jones is acting the hell out of it. I was skeptical of a show with a talking robot but it's done well.
Time Bandits is fun (but not great) if you liked the OG movie and like Taika Waititi humor. I'm loving Lisa Kudrow in it! It's a light watch before bed. I suspect season 2 is going to be better once everything gels.

This show has been super under the radar imo and this is coming from a person who was raised by a television. Brace yourself for antiheros and ~bad people doing bad things~ a la Mad Men. Still, good music and compelling.

Really enjoying Industry which is set in London. Americans on the show are written American but codeswitch subject/verb agreement etc to fit in correctly. Unlike Succession which was written British and performed by Americans.
Also the actress who plays Yasmin weirdly reminds me of Britney Spears

I've currently got the last coating of stripper on the last bit of counter. Cabinet doors/drawers are all done being clear coated or almost. I confess I did not pull the stove out and strip the cabinet normally hidden by it. It's fine.
Someday I will not have spices in the bathroom and silverware on the dining table and other kitchen implements in the office.
The kittens are going to lose their GD minds when I repaint the ceiling. They are in spasms over the plastic dropcloth now, wait until I cover the whole room with it

Hey! I was out at a Mrs Roper Romp so I missed this. Sometimes I struggle with joining an irregular shape (chicken) to something that is intended to surround it and be more square. The only way I've found to keep the perfect shape is the following...
1. make a complete granny square and sew the chicken on top. The drawback is that you're using extra yarn and it will end up thicker and more like an applique.
2. Consider downsizing your granny square to a thinner yarn. I was doing this with my eyeballs. The pupils were roughly DK and the sclera was sock weight. It worked better.
3. Try giving more space around your chicken by doing something like [DC, ch1]. This may create a sparer granny square look than what you want.
Backlooping is a good idea too, definitely did that with my eye pupils.

Megyn Kelly's popping off about it today. I didn't know her from tv years ago but what little I knew...I didn't think she emerge as this champion for women. Always nice to see a woman going from knee jerk "be kind" to changing her mind with the facts. Like so many of us.
