Crowdstrike is primarily for business customers. Typically, nearly every business is under some type of obligation or expectation to run EDR software. So even if these companies go off crowdstrike, the expectation will be that they go to another provider. Generally, they’ll turn to Microsoft for Defender for Endpoint, which is more advanced than the Defender that comes preinstalled in windows.

From what I’ve heard, the timeline is pretty tight. He was spotted while getting into position and seemed to only have a few moments to get his shot. So idk, I still doubt it.
I don’t know enough about his involvement in the other things you mentioned to have an opinion. I just personally don’t think the deep state is capable of keeping it a secret that he’s part of them. Someone else pointed this out yesterday, but it seems more likely that they wanted him to be a part of it but once he rejected Epstein the knives came out. I have no idea, I’m not firmly convinced of anything but the probability this is a false flag feels very small to me.

I think the fact that the shot was also rushed given that many people watched the shooter get into position also suggests it’s not a false flag. That just adds a tremendous amount of risk to the whole thing.
I personally don’t think Trump is a deep state asset and I do think that some of the SS were complicit. Deep state is usually very sloppy with their handling of events to meet their ends. They don’t believe that enough of us are smart enough to figure it out.

To further clarify, I don’t think all of Covid was planned. They 100% coordinated to further their ends once it started. I think it likely leaked from a lab, and probably initially thought to be not a big deal, but they blew it up on purpose. Possibly to hurt Trump but also because they’re greedy fucking pigs.
Similarly, I don’t think the us gov was actively involved in planning 9/11, but let things play out to further their interests.

I fully expect all sorts of fuckery to come out of this and for some kind of conspiracy to exist, just not the one where it’s revealed Trump is establishment. JFK was killed over 50 years ago. It was a completely different time. That’s apples and oranges, as far as I’m concerned. The availability of information was a fraction of what it is now. Dissenting voices literally couldn’t get through, at least not at a scale enough to meaningfully convince people at the time.
I firmly believe the CIA killed JFK. I’m not sure if they coordinated 9/11 and Covid or just simply took advantage of situations to help their objectives. But whether it was entirely planned/coordinated or not, all of these incidents were insanely sloppy with tons of people bringing fourth evidence that makes it clear there was at least some level of conspiracy.

I’m not outright dismissing that Trump may actually be in the establishment, but if he were, why would they go to such lengths to keep him out of office? Why would they spend his entire presidency trying to get him out? Why charge him with all those crimes?
I don’t have an opinion on whether the shooting was a conspiracy, a PR stunt, or anything else. So keeping that aside, it really feels like the establishment is greatly threatened by him.
I’m not a Trump supporter, I try to look at everything he does objectively. Some I like, some I don’t. But the constant barage of Orange Man Bad really makes it hard to believe he’s establishment.

The world today is filled with people who want credit (monetary and socially) for creation, but don’t do any of the actual work to create. Financiers, MBA’s, product managers, VC’s, “tech enthusiats”, people using AI to generate images and then calling it art, and so on.
From a cursory perspective, this is very disheartening. Our culture adores the managerial class and practically worships successful money managers.
But, the silver lining is that the bar has literally never been lower to be a successful craftsman. Learn a craft, apply it well, create value for people, and you’ll be ahead of 80% of the population, at least.

You’d have to capture quite a few codes from each service you’d want to compromise, and even then, it’s not guaranteed that you can determine the seed from a large number of codes. Unless the seed is very weak in and of itself, because you’d likely have to resort to brute forcing it. So, possible, yes. Likely, probably not.

I was having a conversation with a family member who is an officer in the Navy at a very prominent naval base. He’s involved in some wild stuff.
Most notably, he described the process of going from top secret intel to firing on a target. Because only a handful of people have a TS, usually the actual reason a ship is being ordered to fire on a target is completely concealed from the people on the ship.
I can’t help but think that the entire concept of classifying information is a huge reason the war machine beats on. If you’re just a pleb on a boat that can fire missiles, you have no idea of what you’re being ordered to do is justifiable.
This is how atrocities get carried out, by segregating information to the point only a few people actually know what’s happening. I found it quite unnerving, to be honest. He’s a good dude and I don’t have any judgement against him, but wow is that system absolutely terrifying.
Tucker Carlson recently had a rant about classification and how unconstitutional it is. I am starting to think there’s a lot of truth in that. That whole system has been weaponized.

Here’s my guess - they’re going to turn to the tried and true Silicon Valley practice of monetizing user data. LLMs are unique in that they are an incredible way to carry out surveillance on a level that’s almost unheard of. Hence why OpenAI just added a former NSA director to its board.
I’m sick of every electronic device I own spying on me. I really hope that hyper Bitcoinization happens soon and catches big tech by surprise and wipes them out. My biggest fear with AI has absolutely nothing to do with AGI. I personally think it’s impossible. But, I do think the chances of AI being used to further the regime are incredibly strong.

I think people who want to use AI or robots to automate away every “undesirable” task to focus on “what truly matters” are a bit delusional. Work and responsibility are fundamental parts of life and existence. We can be upset about that, resent it, push back against it, but reality doesn’t care. If you automate away everything, you might suddenly find your life means nothing.
Of course, this doesn’t mean a robot that can do laundry or dishes would be bad, but where is the final line? When do we hit the threshold of the machines are doing too much?
I’d argue that part of why modern life is so lacking purpose is because of how much we’ve used tech to replace “undesirable” things. Sometimes, the most mundane things provide the most benefit.

This is marketing for OpenAI. It sets the frame that their AI is powerful enough to do this in the first place, when the reality is, it’s not even close. But if you buy this theory, you subconsciously admit that what they’re building is more than just advanced auto complete.

It’s pure fantasy. Firstly, I don’t think they’ll ever actually achieve it, but secondly - think about people today who live without hardship. Kids of wealthy families.
They have everything they could ever want. They’re as close as you can get to “pure bliss”, but are they happy? A ton of them end up addicted. Hedonic adjustment is a real bitch and you end up throwing everything away to chase pleasure. The more you indulge, the more you need to get the same baseline of pleasure.

I don’t believe it’s an effective option. But I’m by no means a perfect parent, so try not to judge unless it’s obviously over the line. I think it’s just too easy to get carried away or hurt your relationship with your kid.
However, I firmly believe every teenage boy needs at least one moment where their father has to physically remind them who’s in charge. I once thought I was bigger and badder than my dad. The single best “use case” of LLM’s is mass surveillance and manipulation on a scale like we’ve never seen before. A personalized AI agent that sees and hears 100% of what you do and “helps” you throughout the day is the perfect way to control your every thought and action.
Open source may help a little, but think about how much big tech and state actors will want to influence those models. Either by injecting malicious code via supply chain attack, or poisoning the data sets used to train them.
Beyond that, I personally think LLMs are mediocre productivity tools.

Fiat incentivizes short term thinking which means businesses need to be focused on growth at all costs. The fastest way to grow your user base is to make the product free and sell ads. This creates as little friction as possible to get users on your site.
If you are operating on a sound money standard, you can prioritize differently. Because your money isn’t losing value every day, there isn’t an urgent need to grow your user base as quickly. Obviously, some will still choose to go with ads, but it opens up more possibilities for operating your business differently and focusing on delivering something users find valuable enough to pay for more than once.
I guess the big part I disagree with is that capitalism is focused on “hoarding” capital. It’s quite the opposite in fiat world because hoarding dollars means you’re losing purchasing power, so if you’re a business, you need to deploy those dollars as fast as possible. Where most tech companies spend is by fueling more growth via engineering/sales hires, exasperating the problem, and the need for more of your attention.
So yes, sound money standard might equal more “hoarding” but that would actually be better because you’d likely be focused on sustainable growth since your money isn’t melting away.

I absolutely agree. The only use case of AI is offloading thinking. In some tasks, it can sort of make sense, but only if you’re willing to accept low quality, common denominator quality.
But I mostly only see people using it as a hack or shortcut. My thing is, if it’s low hanging fruit that Chatgpt can handle, it’s very likely not something that needed to happen in the first place.

I used it for the iOS app and quick onboarding to get familiar with nostr. But I understand it way better now. I knew out the gate that it wouldn’t be privacy strong, but just wanted to give it a shot.
I prefer to use it on mobile though, is there another client that does this well, without KYC? And handles zaps?
