What happens to perpetrators is irrelevant to the node operator, as once said content passed through consensus rules it has to be stored and shared, unless the node opts out of the network altogether, or in some way avoids part of the chain by running pruned. As far as I know, there is no pruned way to avoid csam with a pruned node as it is more about which blocks when, not content. And neither should someone who wants to run a full archive node have to comply with such things. I’m not a fed, and we’re not talking AML. It’s a fundamental difference between free speech and expectations to host and share things that are counter-productive to our species and to knowingly do so.

Apparently the inventor of proof of work is cool with relaxing the filters cuz proof of work. I pointed out it’s insanity to not use the tool and to just let everything hit your inbox. But Bitcoin isn’t just a personal email. I’ve been running Bitcoin for years, routing lightning too. But there are certain types of jpegs I think could ruin the appeal of Bitcoin. I seek to maximally limit those tothe best of my influence. But if I must fail, I will notrun Bitcoin, and maybe Bitcoin will fail, maybe not. That’s not my call.

The problem is payments are taxable events and also, volatility.
So yes, Tether is becoming more popular, especially since it is a buyer of US treasuries. Stable for payments, little to no tax burden, and politicians are pushing it.
Bitcoin won’t die though. It’s like a very good battery while tether or government currency is just wiring to connect.

I have a pixel phone running grapheneOS and I think now is a good time to start getting used to it, switching from iphone.
I’ve also been using Windows 10 for work/personal most of my life and don’t want to switch to Windows 11 on my personal older laptop.
So I’m thinking about switching to Fedora and and Graphene for regular personal use. I probably will need some help because my experience with linux so far has been one failure (of my own) after another, trying to get used to mint or ubuntu.
Can anyone share a good resource training to help terminally retarded windows users get used to fedora and graphene?
