@npub1a8a…wyep Oh of course we must not give up on mitigation. Every little helps.But as COP28 shows, we are not going to mitigate enough to remain where we are, so adaptation has to happen as well.

@npub1a8a…wyep Yes, but there is a difference between a 3° warmer world and the Venus scenario. We will miss the 2° boat but that does not mean human extinction is inevitable.

@npub1a8a…wyep When mitigation fails (see COP28 failure) then adaptation is not a choice but a necessity. It's adapt or die. I still have hope that not all will die.
