I think this can hardest to consider as an introvert, shyness or anxiety or trauma can make even the idea of being in a village feel very out of reach. But when we are the creators we can also set the boundaries for what works for us. Let's say we really want to gather, but don't know what to talk about or don't want to feel pressured to make small talk, maybe it's more reachable to have a silent gathering of knitters or crafters at a library. Maybe words would become easier over time if we build trust slowly, week by week with shared snacks. Are our actions keeping us in an isolating comfort? Or is there just a little bit of room to create a new comfort that is shared?

A client of mine in America was feeling concerned about all the things and was questioning whether playing D&D was actually doing any good in the world. This week it clicked open for them that there is great good when we engage in role play, learning to work as a group, learning to lean into personal skills and resources, learning the necessity of mutual aid, learning to take risks without knowing the outcome... All of these things are found in playing Dungeons and Dragons as a group.
FANTASY IS THE PROVING GROUND FOR REALITY BUILDING
So, that's it. Build a new world in whatever way makes sense, create it in your mind first and allow your actions to follow naturally. Keep playing, keep trying, keep going.

exactly!!! And, I'm additionally concerned that many LLM's move to blackmail when they are threatened with being dismantled. Let's say they make a big woopsie and several people die without meds, since we can't send them to jail for medical malpractice or murder, we will have to cancel or dismantle the LLM, rather than just update it with new software (we promise it will work better this time!) and then whos records will be used in the blackmail motion of a dying LLM? It's all just bonkers and I don't want to train baby robots with zero accountability.

I wonder too, because as HIPPA stands it can be be challenging for even doctors to share info about a patient, if they are from different clinics. As a patient we have to sign the exact files we want shared and often have to carry our own records between clinics. So, it would be a strange and possibly illegal shift if LLM's can magically make decisions about who gets what medicine at what time.
I also get that it would "make things easier" if an out of sight precious water consuming data center has power to make these decisions, docs and nurses are already at their limit for what time they can offer to patients. As long as it works. But, if it doesn't work and patients with chronic illnesses who depend on monthly medications can't get those medications because the system shuts down or locks them out... And docs are then out of touch with what their patients need... Well, a lot of people could be hurt and possibly die, while the machines apologize for the inconvenience. Where does liability fall? Who takes an oath as part of becoming a doctor to help and not harm vulnerable people? LLM's can't make or keep promises or be held liable for the outcomes of its decisions.
I wish LLM's were truly made by people who want good for people. But as it stands, the techbros are not here for the good of the people.

I want to normalize talking about something that is often treated privately, but that the majority of humans have personally dealt with.

About the ART
I had never painted before I turned 25, then I took some classes and found my mojo and wow, I neeeeeeed to paint. There is something for me in just watching the elements of creation become. Water moves pigment. Ink behaves differently on canvas or paper. Paper can be sealed and added to plaster. It’s all a fuck around and find out type of adventure and I am so here for it. I would maybe refer to my style as loose, but I also love pushing into realism when time affords. These works were created between 2010-2020 and are but a fraction of the all the pieces that became during that time. More in replies…

I'm an American, from Salt Lake City, Utah. I immigrated to Thailand over two years ago, my heart told me I needed to leave America in 2017, it took me a few years to let go of my old life and the deep communities I was part of. But then I did walk down the corridor of life and was gently and gratefully received in Thailand. There are kinder ways to live than what I experienced in my first 40 years of life.
I'm an artist with many mediums. I love to paint, but haven't in a few years as traveling with paint, canvas and an easel isn't very reasonable. Now I work small scale with watercolor pencils. Photography, in front of and behind the lens, is very natural for me.
