Thanks for thinking it over npub168t25fstndd2dh28n6k240s2uvxnrgcxv9pqapscevncw2rp3hgspc8l89 Thomas Rynne @npub1ln5…xyw6 I agree that you would need to render each item differently depending on the medium but for medium=publisher you have to filter the item out npub168t25fstndd2dh28n6k240s2uvxnrgcxv9pqapscevncw2rp3hgspc8l89 Thomas Rynne @npub1jtm…rxtn Just drawing your attention to this reddit post. Seems like an interesting idea. Perhaps podnews pages could have a redirecting link for this? https://www.reddit.com/r/podcasts/comments/1bbm9ml/single_url_for_lates_mp3_from_any_podcast/ npub168t25fstndd2dh28n6k240s2uvxnrgcxv9pqapscevncw2rp3hgspc8l89 Thomas Rynne @npub1anf…2trg I think it was @npub1pa0…pfyr It's used at https://rssblue.com npub168t25fstndd2dh28n6k240s2uvxnrgcxv9pqapscevncw2rp3hgspc8l89 Thomas Rynne @npub10fp…qqev @npub1pa0…pfyr @npub179t…ejc0 @npub1jtm…rxtn @npub1ln5…xyw6 @npub1df6…ns3a Is it unusual to create a public RSS feed with a license that restricts which players can use it? Which players would honour the licence, or even know about it? If this is really the intention perhaps an alternative to the item tag should be used so that existing players don't see the tracks (I feel uneasy about this). Instead feeds could include an additional item asking people to use a v4v app and v4v apps would know to hide this item. npub168t25fstndd2dh28n6k240s2uvxnrgcxv9pqapscevncw2rp3hgspc8l89 Thomas Rynne @npub1ln5…xyw6 Thanks. That makes sense. I do like the way podcasts are an offline medium. I'm concerned we will loose that if we add features that assume a always on internet connection but I can't think of an alternative npub168t25fstndd2dh28n6k240s2uvxnrgcxv9pqapscevncw2rp3hgspc8l89 Thomas Rynne @npub1zyl…mw3t @npub1jtm…rxtn @npub1dzn…4dfn @npub1df6…ns3a @npub1ln5…xyw6 This would not work on my not-yet-finished podcast app because I only request chapters once. Are other apps constantly polling all chapter files?
