The ship is still in international waters btw. The boarding by the Israeli army is therefore illegal.

The #freedomflotilla seems to get sprayed by drones with some white substance that may be chemicals while communications are being jammed etc. inside international waters - onto a boat with civilists

With the recent leak of Samsung's code, wouldn't it be possible to get #GrapheneOS working on #Samsung devices, too? Secureboot and signing the bootloader should be possible because of that or not? @npub1kwa…e0nj

@npub1rkw…5q62 [@Mer__edith](https://mastodon.world/@Mer__edith ) theoretically speaking, what would you do in case of the US government putting pressure on Signal to weaken encryption or removing the app from the App Stores of several countries in case the current administration pushes you to it? Would Signal change jurisdiction to another country?

hm yeah but as far as I can see there was a PR that has been merged to main: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/32620
I just can't find the functionality yet on my v4.4.0-alpha.2+glitch version. But I am not sure how main is being handled on Mastodon and when something from main is actually in some alpha, beta or stable release.

Are there people that contribute to #Mastodon and know what the current state of federated likes and comments is? So that when you open a post that you can see the actual amount of likes and all the comments without visiting the origination server? I feel like this still is a huge burden for non-technical users here

@npub1sfg…fqh4 wenn man bei euch einen Computer mit Wasserkühlung bestellt, liefert ihr den leer zum selbst befüllen? Falls ja, ist da eine Anleitung dabei?

thing is that Threads in general is a shit platform IMO. However I see that most younger people move there because many younger people like this "shitposting and being funny"-behaviour that they used to have on Twitter
You can't find that yet in the Fediverse by that amount
This can be good or bad, depending on who you ask
But that's often causing those people to go to Threads, even when they like the idea of Mastodon & co, because they're like "Yeah Mastodon is nice but it's boring"

Is there anything you can use that is like Google Photos but better in terms of privacy? Currently I use Apple Photos with Advanced Data Protection which makes it E2EE, but I'd like to use an Android phone so I am looking for a replacement. However I am not trusting Google.
I know there's Immich that you can self host or even Ente, but for that you need a lot of storage which is expensive and Ente Photos doesn't support streaming videos yet and limits the file size.
What do y'all use or how do you cross-plattform manage your photos?

Does anyone of the admins here on #Mastodon have an idea why my #Elasticsearch systemd process sometimes exits? From time to time I have to restart it manually, but without manual intervention it doesn't come back on it's own. 🤔
