I got mine set up in our living room area and the standard fan wasn’t distracting loud but wow the noctua is nearly silent compared to standard. BitAxe is my first mining rig but I hear the dust is nuisance on the more serious S series machines. If BitAxe collects dust I just wipe it off.

I have heard that the noctua’s airflow is not as much as stock but I’d like a quiet setup. I will definitely let you know if I need better cooling. How much does shipping cost in the US?

I plan to upgrade to noctua fan and put kryonaut paste to see what that does for performance. Then I may start adjusting the settings (over clocking) and logging the results to achieve max hash/efficiency within the limits of the standard PSU. May need better cooling. Happy to have this product available. Thank you

I should invest the time to chart and make incremental changes to maximize hash rate and efficiency. I’m not sure what the average hash rate is but every time I check axeos they seem to be 1.1 th/s

Oh man. I haven’t had any over heating issues yet. Second bitaxe ASIC was running at +/- 68 but I lowered the ASIC voltage 50mv which got it down to 61 without any noticeable difference in hash rate. Other than that change both are running default settings

A friend recommended ocean and I believe they offer lightning payout but I haven’t done all the research to commit to it yet. Have you done any modifications to the bitaxe? I just bought (but haven’t yet received) noctua fans. Not sure if they will better cooling but supposed be be really quiet.

Softwar is a pretty involved book as Lowery wrote it as a MIT masters level thesis paper. SkyGirlHI & Digital Swolljer wrote a book titled “For Thise In Rio Linda: SOFTWAR” which is billed as a “softwar for dummies” really simplified version. I haven’t read it yet but it’s next on my list.

Used @nprofile…kge4 cedar wood soap to shave this morning. I found it did not produce the same creamy lather or slickness that I get from dedicated shave soap. However the experience was not uncomfortable and the results were similar to that of using shave soap. If you want to be minimal and have one product I am confident @nprofile…kge4 soaps are more than up to task
