And maybe by seeing that success, other devs and publishers would grow a spine again and put more daring character designs in their games (maybe a bit too much wishful thinking I'll admit, ESG money just seems to be too hard to resist after all).
But unfortunately the gacha model is just too lucrative. Why put effort into every part of the game when you can just put effort into characters and use those to make money all the money :shrug:
