Conduit product updates from the past 48 hours:
• Events are easier to browse. Market and Merchant now share a clean timeline centered on “Now,” with past events above and upcoming events below. Event pages are simpler and clearer about organizers, sellers, and whether an event has ended.
• Event shopping loads faster. Opening a merchant’s event link or QR code prioritizes that merchant’s products. Shoppers can start building a cart without waiting for every seller at the event to load. Checkout remains safely blocked until everything is verified.
• Large event marketplaces now work reliably. Events with more than 64 participating products or sellers are loaded in manageable groups instead of being rejected as too large.
• Merchants can edit products with fewer roadblocks. Routine changes like updating stock no longer depend on rechecking the entire event setup. Existing pickup and shipping details are preserved unless the merchant intentionally changes them.
• Product images can now be uploaded directly through Conduit. Merchants can upload, preview, cancel, retry, remove, and arrange images from desktop or mobile. Successful uploads are preserved if another image fails.
• Search is more useful and focused. Shoppers now get category suggestions alongside merchant and account results. Results stay within the catalog they are currently browsing instead of suggesting unrelated accounts or products.
• The Merchant workspace is cleaner and more consistent. Desktop and mobile now share the same navigation structure, with improved spacing, fewer duplicate links, better small-screen behavior, and account tools grouped in one menu.
• Network messages are quieter and more useful. Routine background activity stays out of the way. Warnings appear when reliability affects what the user sees or can do, with a useful recovery action when available.
• Signed-out shopping is less cluttered. Guests no longer see a disabled catalog selector they cannot use, freeing up space, especially on mobile.

Hey @nprofile…36y3 , fair question, and you were right to pause before granting local network access.
The most likely cause is a local relay in your Nostr setup, often an @nprofile…mjrt or other relay running on your home network. (Thanks @nprofile…sz4l for also pointing this out)
When you sign in, Conduit reads your own published NIP-65 relay list and any relay configuration provided by your signer. We connect to those relays immediately so Conduit can operate over the network you’ve chosen, rather than forcing a fixed set of relays. If one of those happens to be on your local network, your browser will prompt for permission before allowing access.
This is not a scan of your network or other devices rather it’s a direct attempt to reach a relay address explicitly associated with your account. We don’t apply local-network relays from other users; those are only used when they belong to the authenticated account.
If you don’t recognize the relay, you can safely deny the request and remove it in network settings, NIP-65 list, or signer configuration. Public relays will continue to work normally. If you are intentionally running a local relay, granting access enables that connection.
Thanks for flagging. It’s helpful feedback and prompted us to re-check this flow and confirm it behaves as intended. We're also making a small hardening improvement around how external content is handled as part of that review, and we’re rolling that out now. Keep the feedback coming. Cheers.

Hey gents we were seeing JSON show up in product descriptions for BitBopArt - can you double check how these are being generated? We normalized it on our end but if other shops are just following spec these descriptions will display strangely in UI

It’s definitely possible with the tech but there’s a bigger operational concern with providing this type of service: you are predetermining cash flows for businesses… which can be chaotic and require timing flexibility at each hop. Better to leave cash management with individual businesses and rely on good old fashioned trust to push capital down the chain on independent schedules. There are many of reasons to have different payment terms and schedules and it’s a necessary flex in the system to keep goods moving ahead.

You can definitely show it off as a demo but we are purposely not actively promoting too much until we feel it’s robust enough for commerce.
The reason being is- when REAL funds are moving… we don’t want orders not to be fulfilled and misunderstandings to be attributed to Conduit (i.e. we don’t want people’s first impression to be sCaM😱!?!) . We have some guardrails in place but we want order messaging to be very reliable before a formal release.
That being said- we will buy your book on Conduit if you are shipping to the US. Did you set your shipping zone before posting? Or is it a digital item? Either of those cases should allow a “zap out” and we’d love to test it with you by buying your book.

Hey Nelson!
We're seeing it on desktop. Mobile isn't showing though - and this is a known bug. Apparently we're running way over mobile browser websocket limits constantly. Among other things.
We’re working on major upgrades to our social graph crawlers in the next phase, since we’ve been running into issues like this consistently. A big part of that work is breaking ourselves out of NDK, which will be fun. The next phase is focused heavily on performance and reliability, so I hope to have an update for you soon as we make progress. Once we do, we’d love to have you retry it.
While we work on it, the best "fix" might be to add our relay to your list: wss://conduitl2.fly.dev - though I can't guarantee that will make it amazing. We're also working on a big relay upgrade in parallel 👀
(Our focus on this current phase was making "zap out" payments work and proving the concept. Which is achieved, now moving into some clean ups and QA.)
In the meantime we REALLY appreciate you trying out alpha software and giving feedback!
Cheers

Identity interoperability is the #1 killer feature of Nostr. Coordinate with others who are on a similar mission and converge on the essential interoperable pieces. Make it all open source.
Sharing network effects has never been possible before, and is how Nostr wins. Social media, and everything you can attach to it, is not a zero sum game anymore.
