lol, yeah, it's pretty bad.
I'm hopeful for the future, I assume it's some moderation thing... that being said, Meta absolutely has the resources to moderate (automatically or not) the things that come into the Threads platform from federation, so who knows what the real hold up is.

Presently, Threads is only federating outgoing posts. Threads users cannot follow you, they cannot see if you follow them, and can't see anything you post. From my testing I couldn't see my likes on Mastodon on Threads either, so it's really only outgoing posts.
