I am running a free event for women in esports targeted at 16-21 year old women and enbys around careers in the competitive gaming industry.

if the front is pretty much stock, the headlights are too high. Also, the kerb bottom left looks sus, plus the mountains in the background are a bit uncanny valley.
 I would hazard it’s AI or someone attempting to photoshop an etype with all the wrong parts.

Repair club have decided they want to build their own keyboards.
Anyone point me at some open source stuff for maybe a small keypad and BOM that we can build as a starting point to get the principles? Eventually I will teach them kicad and whatnot but for now let’s keep it simple.

I am not sure if he’s an assassin yet but I have adopted the voice of one for this particular character. Hopefully him, and Mallard, are short lived. Mallard’s voice is best described as “railway muppet duck” and it sends kiddo into paroxysms of laughter every time he speaks.

Seeking advice but try not to be patronising:
Previously I have shared teaching resources via GitHub, and I had (have) a personal website on Wordpress but for obvs reasons I’m getting rid of that.
So now I’m thinking about a new place, that I can share stuff from. Self hosting may be out, as one of my resources has been downloaded over 100k times (blame two popular blogs for that). Not expecting that all the time, but.. you know.

I remembered too late for #oggcamp bookcamp what with all the scribing - but anything by Mary Roach is amazing. She’s written deep dives into various body related science, my favourites being Stiff, closely followed by Bonk. They are about different subjects.
I also loved Sex Robots and Vegan Meat by Jenny Kleeman which is quite the eye opener but definitely For Science!

*Pink radish pickle crack!*
I hate radishes. This, though..
250g radishes 2 cloves 2 teaspoons sugar White vinegar to cover
(This scales)
 Thinly slice the radishes, I hasselback them cos it looks fancier. They’re done overnight, but really come into their own after a week when the clove fully kicks in, you can tell because everything is pink.
A bag of 240g of radishes is 37p at Asda at the moment. White vinegar is £1.09 for a litre which will do you at least ten jars.

Have had the *best* time at a masterclass for coding live music with @npub1ezc…3fn9 and the Black Dog at the University of Sheffield.
We made doof and oontz with added throat singing because we could.
The software doesn’t have a name yet but it will and then I will sing its praises more.

Today I went down the Megatron and did not die. There is a surprisingly amount of wildlife down there, and a lot of scrambling over wet rubble. This was probably one of the nicer bits.
