When one says “those people” they are guilty of prejudice right there. Whether it’s racial or not I suppose is in the eye of the beholder.
But, that phrase has often been used to attack minorities, and is here utilized against a city whose largest demographic group is black.
I am not the one who labeled all people in an entire city as being too cool for school. I didn’t label a city where over 40,000 kids need a free lunch at school every day as being too uppity to show up for even a free lunch.

Yesterday an account with a huge following was upset by Trump, and decided to blame Mueller for not locking him up. Like… Mueller didn’t have the power to lock him up. The Mueller report was exactly what Congress needed to impeach and remove him. He put the entire case on a silver platter and handed it to Congress.
My point? Blaming Democrats for stuff they didn’t even do just because you are mad at Republicans is displaced anger. It helps nobody; use that anger by making an anti-Trump sign and going onto the street. It would be far more useful than saying “Mueller sucks” when he clearly doesn’t suck and did everything in his power to get rid of 45.

FACT: The US has about 0.22% homelessness (numbers in previous post). Sweden has about 0.28% homelessness. (28,000 homeless in a country of 10 million).
Honest discussions need to start with facts. Whatever you dislike about America, base it on reality. Sweden has MORE of a problem with people being “on the streets” than the USA (currently).

This isn’t true. Homelessness is a problem. But America has many social services available. Sadly, our current president is trying to reduce or eliminate many… He has had very limited success doing so.
We have 770,000 homeless people (average on any given day) in a country of 340 million. Most people that experience homelessness - the duration is a year or less.
We want to get that number to zero, but it’s just plain false to claim that families in the USA end up on the street so easily.

Last night I heard an interview with a psychologist. She explained how the need for revenge is something innate due to our evolution. But she also said people who feel weak end up redirecting their revenge or anger towards those they feel safe to attack. It’s why somebody will yell at their spouse after a bad day at work… they couldn’t bring themselves to yell at the boss.
So I guess that’s why people are attacking Democrats. It’s not that they cannot comprehend that the majority rules. It’s that they are too weak to fight the people in power. So yelling at Democrats is their “kick the dog” response.

It seems to me you’ve missed the point of this thread a bit.
Playing the blame game with Democrats is self-defeating. Money in politics is impossible to change in the short term. What CAN be done is voting against the GOP, in every single election.
And a corollary: If one wants the Democratic Party to align more with one’s values, one must vote. Because any politician is going to listen more to those who voted than those who didn’t vote at all.

Well… it worked for her. She is definitely to the right of Kamala Harris, and she won her state while Harris lost there.
I disagree with her on some things. But if we want to get a Democratic majority in Congress, we’re probably gonna have to tolerate a few Slotkins. She’s better than somebody like Joe Manchin, and she’s WAY better than any GOP candidate.
You want to win a fight with the GOP, you’re going to need all the allies you can get.

Case law regarding this is clear and has been in force for 3 centuries. Congress can, and often has, regulated how states may carry out voter registration. The only part of the process they can’t override states on is the “Places of chusing Senators”.

I generally enjoy living in this land ruled by catgirls. But I do wish for more sports fans. Even with hashtags, a lot of the content that comes up is Twitter replica accounts.
