Just want to say David Bailey and Bitcoin Magazine really dropped the ball on this conference. It’s one thing to bring in the politicians if you want to simp for that sorta thing. I bought my ticket 14 months ago. Today my wife gets to the venue with purse in hand, only to be turned away. As we paid for parking for the day, she and another person decided to go get a drink while I ran in to grab a game from @npub19jk…x0q6. Went to put both in my vehicle and was denied re-entry. At this point, screw the conference folks for the TSA level security at the venue. Shoulda held trump and company elsewhere. Allow the Bitcoiners to decide if they want to show up or not. I was only allowed in to half the conference, give me half my funds back!
It’s cool…I have touched the stove now. I will heal and move on. Just didn’t expect the rug pulling to come from David Bailey and Co.

I waited at a greenhouse for the guy with the Jon Galt license plate and liberty based bumper stickers to come out so that I could invite him to a meetup. The old fella nearly ran away in fear as he spouted he had friends “who were big investors in bitcoin but he doesn’t understand the math.”

I believe so. I haven’t seen mergansers in the wild. They aren’t real popular in my area. We have more of the dabbler/puddle ducks. I believe mergansers are more of a diving duck (they dive under the water to hunt for their food and typically live near deeper bodies of water vs rivers and streams).

Quick thought: #bitcoin is supposed to be decentralized. I haven’t heard many bitcoiners being concerned enough about the centralization of so many coins in Coinbase’s custody. Furthering that thought…if we use the analogy of power that Jason Lowery liked to think about, why aren’t #plebs everywhere pissed about how much power the largest institutions are buying. I am starting to see that these institutions will be able to #BailOut governments, continually rug pull new coiners and will not give up their stranglehold easily.

If the BTC ETF’s are rolled out in the US, won’t it show a glaring flaw in the ETF’s right away as investors get stuck on big price drops after trading hours? It will be like watching little kids line up to touch a hot stove.
I don’t see the appeal for the ETF, yet as I work through the problem I see it with a fiat-world filter and then I remember those people are looking for fiat-world gains.
