hell no, the NHS is just about the worst, that's where the years waiting lists for emergency operations and shit came from. thats because its totally defunded. canada is okay with a lot of funding but it could be better too.
full public with private options is definitely the ideal in my mind. for example i could do certain mental health related things here but its a very slow inadequate process here when i used to get private care for like 20-30€ for prescription appointment and free checkins related to that from that point on. i feel like a subsidized private care acts as permanent accesible cheap care that with any decentness, will keep the freemarket from price gouging and engaging in cartel tactics as much. they'd actually have to be better or specialized to get business not just be all shit.
with illegals definitely a problem and needs to be dealth with harshly, but if talking of the EU in general, americas got something like what 11-12 million illegals? eus got 27 million non-eu citizens here. the numbers on illegal specifically are somewhat hard to find, but in 2015 during peak migrant crisis 1.3mil came in. i should add, while they may get emergency treatment, generally you have to apply for social health insurance if you're not a citizen, even if your from a different eu country, and for cross country workers this can sometimes make private care quite appealing. i think america would benefit from not being quite so generous with social health insurance (as would certain more liberal western european countries)

people can have private insurance basically anywhere in europe and thats part of why the healthcare is actually decent. but i think also a big part is how america manages their healthcare system. the socialized care and private are not seperate, the socialized aspects are simply paying all these private businesses with very little regulation. and since generally you have no choice, everything is price gouged and the government will still pay their share despite the price gouging. medicaid has some regulation but their not that much just limits on how much they'll pay. nothing stops an absurd amount of cutting corners, nothing stops the price gouging, hell didn't even until recently have to show you the price of care, and its still unenforced. i mean private healthcare is cool and all but passing out and not consenting to an ambulance ride shouldn't cost thousands and thousands of dollars ignoring all the care, like thats just insane, you have to have some level of socialization in these things i think for the same reason we don't have privatized firefighters anymore.
they should definitely focus on killing that price gouging with strict price controls, and more strictly regulating how practice works. subsidising way less. after that all those savings maybe you can offload some of that cost to actually setting up a seperate atleast fallback social system if desired (which i think most would be in support of)

hard disagree on EMTALA but agree on illegals. the thing is trying to expand the current social system in the states would only massive expand taxes, it would have to be replaced and properly financially managed which yes you can do for way cheaper and way better care, many countries do, but this current system is hopelessly corrupt.
as for euros going for care, a lot of people go to a bunch of different countries for certain specialized care. american healthcare from my perception is much worse on the average, but specialized care is better (but often private care only and very very expensive), i've had to deal with both side alot in my life. nobody is going to the states for their average care, people are going for life threatening conditions when they have no other options. so yes absolutely people go there for care, but you never hear of people going there for affordable or good normal healthcare, thats where i hear of people going to canada of even europe on occasion (though travelling at all is quite uncommon)

to be fair socialized medicine is quite good in the majority of europe, obvious exceptions though (like the uk is comically bad because they almost entirely defunded it while mandating it for many treatments), and also gets less subsidies from the government on average than the u.s. does last i checked.
given americas situation and the stranglehold of the medical industry legally it makes much more sense focusing on bettering insurance rather than a total overhaul that will never make it through the courts. (and cheap decent private care is always an important alternative to have to avoid being trapped in a bad social system). focusing on a very half assed social system as kamala did is dumb, trump actually did better some things in healthcare ie insulin. if either of them wanted easy wins they could avoid the changing the programs and just bump up the (generally quite low) thresholds for medicaid, which shouldn't make a huge difference in cost, but that's a very cheap shot
trump is definitely better there in terms of actually standing up to the lobbyists that made it so awful to some degree

an electric kettle is just max heat until it starts to boil and it clicks off. their also much more direct in running the water so boil faster even on american circuits. stovetop kettles yknow they just have that little hole so the steam from the boiling makes it whistle to alert you
some fancier kettles do let you set a specific temperature cutoff and keep it hot and stuff like in the states the one we had would by default keep the water heated for an hour after boiling for convenience

yeah since they're legally enslaved they could earn 25k hours worth of work from the one event. saw some news reports on it and that was the only reason for most of those, cause you still have to pay for everything in u.s. prisons, medical care, hygeine products, anything to make prison bareable, all that shit. a lot of them said shit like having to pay for an investigator to work on their case which is hard on like 0,02$ an hour yknow.
