I avoid any and all dealings with it. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Seems to be a hallmark of authoritarian regimes. The same is true in the US. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Amazing, some actually manage to live in the Sonoran desert. I'll definitely have to be on the lookout for these. https://big-picture-science.myshopify.com/blogs/news/plant-surprises-in-the-desert npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Never seen them in the wild 😢. Had some that came with a houseplant. Unfortunately I had to leave them behind due to moving. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I love liverworts! npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Liquid inclusions in quartz are used to determine the composition and temperature of mineralizing fluids. They can also make interesting gemstones. These are so called petroleum quartz from Pakistan with (at least) three phase inclusions. The hydrocarbons generally are very fluorescent under UV. First image from Facebook, the faceted stone is from Dynagem. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium There is no way I would work for Bezos, regardless of compensation, but the AI saturated nature of the position is almost as bad. I wish you luck. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Unexpected meme. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Looks good! Used to go to the farmers market at the end of the season and pick up a box of tomatoes for cheap and make sauce. Can't do that in southern Arizona though. Tomatoes really struggle here and the irrigation water is expensive. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium That video was difficult to watch. I'm sure very few, if any, of those people survived. 💔 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium This was at the four seasons, right? npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I like the documentary about climbing Mt Sunflower: https://hikinginthesmokys.blogspot.com/2009/09/surviving-mount-sunflower.html?m=1 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium That wasn't related to the recent New Glenn launch explosion? npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Good question. I see they are at it again so it must have survived the first *ahem* round: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000tgf0/executive npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I didn't realize that this is a thing: https://www.navymarinespeciesmonitoring.us/news/uss-gerald-r-ford-conducts-final-shock-trial-explosive-event/ npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium He has all the prognostication abilities of a magic 8 ball. On his best day. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Thanks for the heads up. Wish they gave more information about affected versions. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Very nice! npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Hardcoded creds! :picardfacepalm: npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium 1366 days, 8.10. Not accessible from the Internet. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I use check-update and info frequently. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium In terms of usefulness it's been in steep decline as of late. This is it going over the edge into nonfunctional. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium While it is not a quasicrystal, the mineral vaterite has an unusual structure https://www.mindat.org/min-4161.html npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Never heard of molybdenum bronzes before. Really interesting. Thanks! npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium You should check out zeolites, feldspathoids, and melanophlogite https://www.mindat.org/min-2630.html. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium OMG. Expecting a coherent plan from dimentia Don 🤣🤣🤣 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium The Tucson shows are over 😢. Here's some things I ran across. A large specimen of "fuchsite" with garnet from Brazil, a large crystal of feldspar, also from Brazil, and a bunch of weathered chondritic meteorites from northwest Africa. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Fuck ICE. Fuck DHS. Fuck Nazis. Keep up the good fight🙏 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Almost wish I did business with Amazon, so I could quit. I am sure this "documentary" is pure codswallop mixed with gallons of whitewash. 🤮 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Will no one think of the little dogs? npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I love the trend for gasoline only vehicles 🎉. Wish it was the same in the US, but we're currently stuck in 1939... npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium This letter is disgusting 🤮 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Awesome 🎉 npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium The information I found said that they are indeed related. Those columnar basalts are one of the things I do miss about Idaho/eastern Washington. Loved the scablands and palouse hills as well. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Those are the Columbian river flood basalts. They poured out of many feeder dikes, mostly in eastern Washington. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_River_Basalt_Group npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Those reeds look like phragmites to me. Invasive, unfortunately. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phragmites npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Biden should have stuck to his statement of being a one term president. We might have had a cookie cutter, old white male as a Democratic president and the orange buffoon in prison. Yeah, I know, no judge would actually toss T. Rump in prison, but I can dream... npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I have heard of graphene and was considering it. I decided to go with this project instead: https://www.braxtech.net/. Would love a full blown Linux on a phone, like what Ubuntu was trying back in the day. I think Fedora is working on this currently. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium This is why I wish there was a viable Linux phone. All the big tech companies view their users as a resource to be used as they see fit. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium The IDF can rot in hell. Along with Netanyahu. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Also 💯 that Trump is a hugely lusting after Putin. Don't want to mess up the orange blobs love connection, so they do their master's bidding. Beyond disgusting and reprehensible. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium They'll still be investigating as the next 🤡's administration is almost over. Have to wonder what Putin has on the GOP... npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium If the delusional Nazi manages to actually produce this, it will kill a whole lot of MAGAts. They'll be lining up to ride in those death traps. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium I have a small ametrine slice. It is incredible under a polariscope, the amethyst and citrine areas go extinct at different rotations. npub1sfqm3jpr393jel4jlqusxxg7m6xdspu9cu7mu75kj2jzfc2pt3lsu8hzmm Thorium Don't drink coffee much anymore, but I used to love yirgacheffe. I was also fond of Yemeni coffee. I image that is nearly impossible to get now though.
