The BBC News Verify team has published their first article using a new open media provenance technology called C2PA that we've been working on for the past three years.
This shows where media comes from and how it’s been edited - like an audit trail or a history.

We are going to continue our trial here for at least another six months while we share our findings internally and seek more engagement from other BBC teams. We are also planning to start researching ways to publish more BBC content using ActivityPub.

Modern TVs have dimming features that can adjust backlight power in specific parts of the screen, sometimes even at the individual pixel level.
