That is not inflation. Common mistake.
Inflation tends to cause price changes, but not all price changes are a result of inflation.
Inflation would be 10 million more Bitcoin having been created, doubling the supply and therefore reducing the value as expressed in another unit (say, USD) as each individual sat would now be worth less, as there would be about twice as many sats than before.

Once upon a time your supplier didn't accept Bitcoin either, and be either researched it himself and adopted it, or someone orange-pilled him.
It's understandable you don't have the patience to educate and redpill people on privacy. Although I would say that is unfortunate, because lack of awareness about its importance is exactly why we are where we are today, and it was all so predictable and avoidable.
Also, to you and anyone else who happens to read, get into your head that most Monero users are not maxis, we care about PRIVACY and ANONYMITY, and we believe Monero is the best financial tool for that purpose at the moment.
I won't go into the pro/cons and up/downsides of Monero vs Lightning, so I will just say to you, I am just as happy if at least you use lightning when you pay your supplier.
Help normalize privacy. That's all most of us (also most of us use or at least hold Bitcoin too, often at a 90:1 or even bigger ratio, by the way) are asking for.
It's the normalization of reckless transparency that criminalizes people like me. We just want to do our thing and be left alone. Nothing shady (mostly lol), nothing special, but I have a right to do my business and my transactions without doxxing everything to government, corporations, and on a transparent chain, literally to the whole world in perpetuity.
It's not too much to ask. Right?

I disagree that Trump has no principles, but you yourself implied that Ron Paul would have been a more capable leader than Trump (and I agree).

The error in your reasoning is in the apriori assumption that it "has to be equal".
You need massive levels of tyranny to enforce that, at the cost of destroying merit.
Not everyone can be a success, but you can make sure everyone becomes a failure. It's the only level where everyone could conceivably be "equal".

A bank account was bad enough, the bank can see all the transactions, the government can and does spy on the bank to spy on the customer, and the bank can and does sell customer data to third parties. As for the part about "forcing" a hard fork, sorry bur that's nonsense.
First of all, there is just as much if not more deliberation (in some ways, the stakes are higher, because it's a more complex system), but you're an outsider and you're imposing your own biases and preconception and not realizing this is what's happening.
And second, understand that the culture is different. Monero users, node operators, etc, all expected the hard forks, and wanted them, and were ok with it.
If you put bias aside, you'll be able to see that both approaches (very conservative + takes forever Bitcoin vs yolo hardfork every 6 months up to a year or two ago) are correct - bitcoin's for bitcoin, monero's for monero.
Also, and to finish, I gotta say you also made an assumption that is very common with Bitcoiners as they exist today. You assume an us-vs-them mentality.
Let me tell you, most Monero people I know are also Bitcoiners - not just that, they have been Bitcoiners for far longer than most Bitcoiners (who think they've found the holy grail or something & are smarter than everyone else (according to themselves)) have been Bitcoiners.
Why? They/we USED Bitcoin since the beginning, and understood that as it exists today it's a surveillance machinen and not at all fungible on L1.
So in general Monero people are much better informed about Bitcoin than rabid Bitcoiners who only see one shade of orange are about Monero.

For me it's curious, I think ecash is interesting but in the end it's just an IOU.
The mint can rug you, hot wallet exploits can take your bitcoin from the mint while you're left holding useless ecash, and the complexities of merchants accepting random ecash minted from random mints (any mint can forge any amount of ecash backed by nothing) don't seem trivial to solve to me.
In other words, you are looking for less fees and more privacy, and #monero already offers you this today, with no counterparty/rug risk; but because of cognitive bias people with the maximalist mind virus are unable to see it.

This is useful sure, at least now you can save a Bitcoin address for a contact and not have to reuse the address which is even worse for privacy, but let's be honest, it's not private at all.
The sender can very easily find out the real address the btc was sent to simply by monitoring the timeframe in question for the exact amount he knows he sent.
Anyone else at a later date can do the same.
I would argue this is more of a convenience feature than anything to do with privacy.
