lol normally, yes. But, this particular item is over engineered the same way apples $100 lightning cable is. It’s super useful for nonstandard deployments, plus the HPE sd cards are better than most consumer facing ones. 1 step shy of the best.

My low spec models have the nvme slot occupied with a 256gb oem consumer samsung drive, the pm981, intended to be the OS drive. The upgraded one comes with a 2tb enterprise sata drive, the pm863. There’s no other internal storage expansion.
Rams upgradable, 8gb in the low spec, 16gb for the upgraded one. Mix/match random generic 4/8/16gb sticks, same model whenever needed.

You don’t have surge protection where you’d want it for this particular problem.
Say you have a PoE doorbell, & it gets hit, that power will go straight to your PoE switch & blow it. Possibly other connected equipment. But lightning would hit your roof, not your porch. So cameras are the next likely inlet.

I imagine you’re not safe if lightning runs through it, the entire length of cable might set fire.
Other than that, don’t do anything stupid like tie a cable to a furnace & you’re fine.
