Really cool that youre mining with Ocean Pool by the way. I think that yes, this issue has created a divide between some factiosn of bitcoiners, and its offering a filter to identify certain trends inside the "philosophy" of bitcoin.
Going to philosophy for a sec, I would argue that the "No inscription" camp, sees the Telos of BTC as money.
The other camp sees it as an immutable database that also has the propperty of money.
I see the white paper and its quite clear what Bitcoin Is. I think that tinkering to deeply with the nature of the proposal of the person who brought about BTC to the world Is a bit misguided. Thus If I would be a miner, I would be mining in Ocean for the reason that I recognize the telos of Bitcoin as Money / payments network.

One of the things I carry at the top of my personal hierarchy is #Bitcoin. I believe it's one of the most important concepts developed by humanity .
I want to do something for BTC.
A good friend of mine wisely once pointed out to me that in order to make something of value online we have to think carefully about :
a) your interests / skillset
b) develop a "be useful" mindset
Useful things tend to ... be useful to others and thats a net plus for the world.
Back to #BTC: I could use my personal skillset (Music), or I could explore another of my interests & see if there is a synchronicity with the needs of the world and what bugs me.
I plan to focus one one of my parallel interests : FOSS, sovereign networks & decentralisation.
I don't have technical knowledge, but this is something that bugs the hell out of me.
How can it be that we all gave away the sovereignty of our data, when there are alternatives that keep "the secret" partly alive???.
This is something i'm willing to fight for.
Due to basic privacy aspirations & amplified by what happened after Russia got out of favour with global big tech, I became passionate about escaping that matrix. Luckily, Self Hosting & BTC are connected.
I have a long term plan, but its too early to talk about it.
What I do want to announce is that I have given my second small step into "doing something" for bitcoin and that Is to fund a Territory in @npub1qas…72z9 about Mining, SelfHosting & FOSS

Me living in Russia being like... Hold my beer please dear friend, Id like to share a couple of thoughts with you all on that matter. This is going to be a bit of a rant, but heck a lot has happened recently :
1) In the last 400 days, the country where I lived in experienced (in a space of of 3 months) the following events ::
- Visa and Mastercard Left the Country (I cant use my money anywhere in western companies)
- The whole country (except one bank) was excluded from Swift. (People cant transact money abroad)
- Google Stopped accepting payments (no google services, we lost our google drives)
- Apple stopped accepting payments
- Both google and apple managed to somehow find a loophole to still receive payments via mobile phone operators ((both with deep limitations))
- Companies from our countries got expelled from stock exchanges all over the world.
- . . . and more (I only mentioned the ones related to financial / cloud services)
2) When member(s) of the G8 do not like you, there is a button to cancel you from the internet / financial system ready to be triggered at any time, and thats the future that awaits everyone in this planet unless we run our own personal servers.
It is absolute bullshit. The current mainstream model of the internet and how users engage with the companies that hold their data is absolute bullshit and its leading us towards a future with questionable outcomes in some areas.
All of this triggered a certain renaissance in my life and I went to a self hosted ((nextcloud)), grapheneOS mobile mostly (sadly not entirely) FOSS lifestyle.
Anecdotes / Thoughts about the period we are living here ::
- Lets start with a hot one... and put it as clear as I think it has to be ::: Binance (yes it with its non compliance that just blew the hole thing up) played a huge roll in giving us some sort of freedom to overcome that sort of censorship, and I personally applaud this. I understand that many here may have profound resentment with the Russian elites, but for a moment put yourself in the average citizens point of view (parents with sons studying abroad). Bitcoin / USDT / USDC played a key role in all of us stabilising our lives and feeling still members of the global economy and that was really great.
- The market quickly produced solutions to absolutely all the problems presented before, we all adapted to it and we live a life that looks quite simmilar to our previous life looked except for the fact that Mcdonalds has a different name and there are LOADS ... LOADS (did I mentioned LOADS?) of chinese cars everywhere.
- Yandex and other russian IT is one of the big winners of the whole thing, many migrated in mass to their services and they are growing / adapting quite fast.
- I lost the capacity to renew my passwrod manager (when I used to have that garbage) paid account, so I had issues accesing my passwords
- lost tons of data by using the useless system of backups provided by google when youre trying to leave, etc. Spent HOURS getting my data back and my wife and I have had to go to extreme pains to rebuild our google photos library.
There is so much Id like to talk about this, but its late and I have to continue working.

Yes, there is tragedy and hardship ((A LOT OF IT)), but heck, have you seen the lives of animals in the wild? You know whats tough , risky and complicated? :: To be an earthling.
The last thing we should do about this is reject the risks / tragedy of being. It's just the fate of all animals in this planet, to fight tooth and nail to preserve their chance to be.
Grateful for it all.
Deeply gratefull to all of those developers that gave us Bitcoin and Nostr. This is simply invaluable and, for the layman like me, totally unexpected developments.

It seems like the world really needs to hit the fan for bitcoin to become the worlds reserve currency. I personally don't see it happening willingly / by "organic" adoption ufortunately.
I get all bullish and temporarily forget that our wining case implies a major collapse that will be possibly violent /deadly, send millions to poverty, catalyse the collapse of nations and a potentially catastrophic blow for western (human?) civilisation.
Im sure we will make it. Im sure it was inevitable as this was set in motion in the previous century, way before bitcoin was even possible.
Heck I hope everyone is pricing this in / taking it into consideration when making future plans.

I made an experiment there and I asked a "chat gpt like" entity thats in nostr, but It seems like its down at the moment. In any ways, Nostr client is the portal you use to access nostr.
for example, Im using Primal.net ... but there are many, I imagine you are using one of them yourself.
I dont know if the correct definitio nis "portal" but its the best way I can frame it. Thats why I asked cyborg to see what it says about it!

Im so completely disgusted by the bullshit of our times.
Don't get me wrong, our time holds INFINITE and PROFOUND beauty.
But damn this is really some sort of satanic time the one we are living in. What do I mean? Many humans absolutely have fallen in love with their creation, and they believe their vision to be as "complete" as the nature or god we are facing when we ask questions.
When you wake up from that matrix you realise how childishly naive / semi childishly cute it is to think like that. Similar to when my son plays to be a nuclear physicist and truly believes he understand the subject matter as he plays.
I don't underestimate my son one bit. I don't underestimate humanity on bit. Now, it is imperative to do the math and feel the vastness of the subject matter / the universe, and to realise that: powerful we are indeed, yet, whats in front of our eyes nears infinity in complexity. It keeps revealing and revealing and It will continue to do so long after we are here.

So... Im a relatively recently declared bitcoin maxi (sort of a year ago I took the right path)... but not all is fun and games, I had a dark shitcoin past. (moment or honesty here)
I had a plan to just surf the waves of the bull / bear and eventually, when my shitcoins get out of red territory, to swap them for BTC including the profits and then move on as a Bitcoin only hooman.
My patience paid off, and today, after such a long wait, my whole portfolio came back to green again.
Still my shitcoins are In read and ill wait till 2025 to liquidate them (profits included) to hoard some extra BTC, but heck it was a long journey of patience and cool headed red numbers. Till today. Im very proud i kept my cool.
Looking forwards for a purely BTC only future.
