I was just listening to the radio doing maintenance on some equipment in the shop.
It was a commercial break and they said that selfies and trying to get the perfect shot are contributing to climate change.
Their reasoning….because most people are straying off their paths to get the better picture or selfie and disturbing the land and they highly recommend staying on the path.

My boy turns 13 today, he just finished up the first “Internet of Money” book from Andreas Antonopoulos.

I honestly can’t think of a better place to be when I’m on my phone, even though I’ve never met anyone here, it certainly feels like I have met some of you.
Sometimes I can be blunt, short and right to the point in my speech (my personality can be very strong, ask my wife lol) and can sound like I’m jabbing at you, and other times I can sound humble and talk to you like I’ve known you for a lifetime.
I truly am a humble man and want nothing more than for you all to be a friend, even if we don’t always agree. If there’s something you don’t like about what I said, talk to me, I’m always up for open dialogue and I’ll do my best to see it from your perspective.
Anyways, just wanted to let you all know, this IS the place to be and I feel everyone here gets along for the most part. It’s peaceful compared to all the other social networks, if you can even call them that.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the detailed response. I should’ve clarified, I’m trying to get an answer for my FIL as he says and seems to think more will be created. I told him it’s highly unlikely but it’s possible. So I’m just looking for the easiest to understand explanation and quickest way to do it. He’s pretty skeptical about it, but I’m going to keep trying anyway.
So just to clarify, is a hard fork (changing the rules) different than a 51% attack?

They really have to want to understand it, if they don’t, they probably never will.
Some people are just so far gone and have their faith locked in with the legacy system…they’ll likely never understand.
It can be exhausting forsure, but never give up and keep on trying, even past the point where they’ll start to think your crazy and it’s all you ever talk about.
They say for advertising a business, it takes people about 15x to see or hear about it before they even remotely begin to understand or even buy your service/products.

the last fraction of Bitcoin is mined. Let’s say another million gets released-(Satoshi’s stack) wondering if thats possibly how it goes and that carry's Bitcoin on for 100's of years to come?
Is that why the million just sits there untouched?
When you read the code, what happens when the final bitcoin is mined in approximately 120 years from now?
Also, if anyone can explain very briefly on how you could possibly increase the supply of bitcoin. If I remember correctly, you need a certain percentage of network users to agree to change the code in order to change the supply?
Side note, I got my mother in-law to buy $2k worth of bitcoin today.
I said to her, why not buy like $500 and just watch it, see what it does?
Right away, she said might as well make it worth it, let’s do $2k.
It’s extremely hard getting the older generation to buy bitcoin, they’re very skeptical about it, but I’m glad she finally agreed to buying some. I’ve been working on her for a bit now.
I’ll be HODL’n it for her as she is far from being tech savvy lol.

Here’s a comment for you. We’re all in the same boat here. Some of us make a shitload of money, and others not so much. We all still have the same thing on our minds…how do we get more bitcoin?
Some of us get creative and use our unique skills, (which we all have) some start selling off all their belongings, some get second or third jobs etc in order to buy more bitcoin. There’s plenty of younger people out there making far more money than I am and have far more bitcoin than I’ll ever have.
Most of us here realize the importance of stacking now, and all the way to the very end. It’s how we go about doing it. If you sit around thinking you’re never going to get rich, if lambos, mansions and other high end materialistic bullshit is your thing, then you never will.
Some of us take the action required to get where we want to be in life.
If you want an extra $200 week to do whatever with, you will find a way….IF you want to.

I don’t think anyone fully understands bitcoin.
Most of us here know that bitcoin is a good thing, but to fully grasp it and understand it’s technicalities can be hard for most.
Whether Trump fully gets it or not, all that matters is that bitcoin just went mainstream on a political level in the US.
