I've added alternate tilesets and alternate music for when you go deeper into the dungeon. I only have a standard tileset and a lava tileset, but I plan to add more.
You may notice around the 23 second mark that after killing two enemies, a third enemy disappeared. I have no idea what is causing that bug.

Here is an updated video. I rearranged the hud and added a pause feature.
Take note that many of the graphics are placeholders. I don't make fangames. I use copyrighted sprites as placeholders before adding my own.

Okay, here is what I've been working on so far. I'm trying a different client this time. It's a roguelite dungeon crawler with Zelda-like elements. The game is written in C++ using the SFML framework.

Had to shelve the platformer project because of poor planning and feature creep. I decided to work on an action dungeon crawler. Right now, you can only move your character and thrust your sword, but I plan on including randomly generated levels.
I'm more experienced with top-down games, so this might be easier.

Kind of neglected this place for a bit. I'm back though. I've been working on a Kid Icarus style platformer. Right now, I've added platforms that you can jump onto from the bottom, but proper collision detection still needs to be worked on.

Replaced the player car's sprite with my own. It kind of looks weird though. I probably should make a smaller one and have this sprite be for an enemy. It turns black when destroyed because it's supposed to be charred.
I also made this using Piskel instead of Pinta because Pinta, for whatever reason, keeps on randomly crashing, even after updating it.

Made a beach/island/sandbar level. I don't know if I'm going to make more levels. Other than that, I just need to tweak some things, add music, replace the Spy Hunter sprites with my own or stock assets, give this a name, and then I'm done.
I'm hoping that my next game would be something more inspired.

Working on a credits sequence. It isn't that much because I'm the sole developer and I didn't use that many third-party assets (yet). I decided to add the tools I used to pad it out.
The credits are loaded from a text file with it's own simple markup format.

Mines and missiles have limited ammo now. I've also added a HUD. It's just text and it uses a TTF rather than a bitmap font. Bitmap fonts seem to be difficult in SFML. Supposedly, vertex arrays solve this problem but I haven't tried them yet.

Bitcoin isn't anonymous. Everyone can see every transaction on the blockchain, which is my only problem with it. It was a nice proof of concept, but Monero is the full realization.

I guess it's time for an introduction.
My hobbies include gaming, technology, Linux, programming, and game development. Currently I use C++ and SFML, but I've previously used MonoGame (C#) and Pygame (Python). Right now, I'm working on an action dungeon crawler in my free-time, but I don't know when or if I will finish it. It was supposed to be a simple maze game but I got carried away and added enemies and keys.
As for gaming, I mostly just emulate older games. I also have a small collection of WonderSwan stuff.
