it's a risk indeed, but it was never proven they even used it for anything bad, so unless proven it's a conspiracy theory.
And in fact i know some security company monitoring it in their phone "honeypot" so even if they did it we will have proof quite fast.

in that case it seem your AS do not show up in the bgp toolkit, witch is an issue too :/
Maybe too recent ?, in any case could be a good idea to see why they don't show your AS
edit: i say it's also an issue because allowing user to verify security work is a good practice, and in the past helped detect when a system bug and disable security mechanism.

you seem to have misunderstood what i mean by control.
Linux with a command you can swap a core component of the OS even with immutable os, it's totally impossible on android.
it's what i meant by "less control"
Also answering modify the code if you want more control is the worst answer i ever seen to an inquery over customisation of an OS.

ok, but i asked the other day why linux on a phone was so "we want it", and i understood it's due the the lack of control over android
In a way for example installing NTS is nearly impossible, the software stack is nearly fully controlled by google, and if they ban an app even if it can run outside of their "authentic" android, many dev will simply abandon their app.
maybe we can as a community find a way to fix this and make the idea of linux mobile irrelevant ?

If a company managed to magically (i say magically as both you and me know it would be a miracle to manage to do it properly)
Do an OS that is not based on Android but allow Android app to run on it with the modern basic security you do expect
Would you consider, to look into it, or the android bases is non negociable ?

not true, you can not have a single Google connection with graphene, as by default NO google service as even installed, and if You choose to install them it's sandboxed and only access what you allow (internet included).

maybe add a switch for user that show concern over an US used server (for instance i would hate to start to use US one (even if i understand why)).
i would even prefer 100% canada than a single US (if possible), also why not contacting server that already sponsor other service (like dnscry.pt) who know one may be generous in those holiday.
Maybe advance one month of a new EU one and ask for a donation to make a "temporary" service while asking the said sponsor ?

So i bough 3 Mikrotik wAP ax and a Mikrotik RB5009UPr+S+IN with the accessories to put it in my Rack in place of Unify.
When received i will run them in parrallel, the time of settings them, once everything will work i will retire and sell unifi, and continue to remove any US service from my personal life, and start to propose the same change in my company.
For an Europe without US corporation.

from what i read 3 possibility, they messed up the settings (clearly writen on your website installation, by not relocking the booloader).
Or the person whom they have send the message to is the one to have snitched on them (or the cops extracted data from their device), and this dumbass think it his phone that broke.
Or it's someone paid to lie.

may i do a recommendation that would help your project ?
A docker image, where we can host relay to your service (and set them in the os).
So like proton, signal etc, in the event where country go after you by blocking domain, we the community can actually allow easy bypass (that cost you nothing).
Only thing to ensure is the relay do not allow to see what pass trough.

i cannot really spot what cause it, only when i have both 4G and wifi enabled after some time i will have a message that "coordination server is unreachable" or "dns is unreachable".
if i cut 4g, i don't have the issue as much, if i downgrade to 1.88.4 i never have the issue even when 4g enabled.

[@tailscale](https://hachyderm.io/@tailscale ) you must know it but on @npub1kwa…e0nj (don't know on normal android), your 1.90.4 version is bugged and loose connection when 4g 5g is enabled and there is a switch.
Downgrading to 1.84.4 fixed the issue, already reported many BUG-, do you know when a fix will come ?
