They are not linkable for the public observer as amounts are blinded on Liquid and additionally Taproot Swaps generally made swap transactions indistinguishable from any other regular transaction.
BUT we do have the link! Therefore, privacy on Lightning is a bit better as one can't tell with certainty where a Lightning transaction was sent from.
That being said, Boltz respects privacy but is NOT a privacy solution or a substitute for e.g. coinjoins.

Exactly! And that's a good thing. You want these trade-offs when using sidechains or other Bitcoin layers.
It enabled Liquid to react to the most prominent user pain point when using Liquid for Lightning swaps - too expensive for micropayments.
If you want maximum security and decentralization (e.g. for your savings), use the mainchain.

Depends on the direction:
Chain to Lightning: all good to close browser after sending chain tx, just keep your lightning wallet open if it's a noncustodial mobile wallet like Phoenix.
Lightning to Chain: Keep your browser open until you see a pending chain transaction in your receiving wallet. Browser needs to be open to claim.

We know the chain origin and final lightning destination in Chain -> Lightning Swaps. We do *not* know the origin in Lightning -> Chain swaps but, the chain destination. We always know amounts.
Publicly, privacy is not too bad with confidential transactions hiding asset and amounts on Liquid (but not tx graph), and with Taproot Swaps it's additionally pretty tough to tell that a tx was part of a swap.
Will start a FAQ section in docs with this as we get this question a lot. Thanks for asking and pushing for transparency!

Good point. First fix going into this direction shipping to Aqua soon: Basically Aqua can now add a liquid address of its own wallet in lightning invoices of Boltz swaps and if a scanning wallet knows how to read the invoice it can choose between Liquid or Lightning. Main use case for this is for Aqua to Aqua sends to send directly on Liquid instead of using Boltz going Liquid -> Lightning -> Liquid.
End-user UX: scan and don't care which rail is being used, wallet chooses the best option for me
