#amethyst 3 out of 4 times when i try to upload a file i get this:

try set your inbox relays to between 2-3 relays that have some WoT filtering going on, and it will get much better. Right now you have half of nostr's public relays in your list; that's why they keep getting a hold of you.

My nostr dream:
a kind that is just a bunch of filters worth sharing, that work much like profiles but for content.
A nostr topology map of sorts.
The client would signal which topology map is active thematically. And a topology map is a set of lists, 10002, 10063, 10050... Maybe a follow pack and a contact list or two. Favorite relays, of course! Probably a bunch of other existing kinds....
This way, i go to my pub, connect to it's wifi and scan the pub's nostr topology map (a QR). I add the topology map to my collection and apply it to my client. The client UI changes theme, and offers me to apply the pub's theme.
In this mode it sets my client's outbox to ws://pub.local.host, inbox to ws://pub.local.host/inbox and blossom to https://pub.local.host
My client is now operating totally on the local network, no connection to internet necessary. A post in the relay feed tells me that if i publish a tune (36787) to ws://pub.local.host and zap the bar lightning-address, it gets cued in the jukebox. The menu is there with recepies from the nostr cookbook. The lineup for the concerts later is posted as calendar events. I can tip the musician while they play! Now switching to my outernational public nostr topology map: "Y'ALL you should watch this on the stream of this pub, it's amazing!!!!!" ...

i would never do that :D i see no reason for me to authenticate to any foreign service (services that hold nothing that needs protection and/or is not addressed to me). And since there are cases where i authentication is warranted, i can't use deny all, so I have to set it to "ask every time"... Which is super annoying.
But this is not an amethyst issue. I reckon it's a relay software issue. The analogy is kinda like logging in to twatter, and being asked to login to facebacon too, because part of the conversation might have continued there.

The Hallway method is great for focused usage and, ultimately, user education would be 7000 times better then my little utility tool. But explaining and setting sensible defaults for relays and blossom has been my #1 hurdle when on boarding people. Especially when they are remote.

Not really, Communitator is client agnostic. As far as i understand, hallway does not create a new 10002, 10050 and 10063. It uses the hardcoded infra, but if a user moves to another client, those settings does not follow along.
