My point wasn’t disqualifying feelings - I am myself a very emotional person. But in my experience, the road between feeling and taking action is not always that linear. Before taking some actions, I need to discern if I’m acting out of affect/ desire or if it’s a grounded decision. For me earlier decisions that took this direct path from feeling to action have led me to some non-ideal outcomes. If I look back, those feelings weren’t mature yet - ai was acting out of reactivity, fear or ego.
