My 25 years of palaeoart chronology...
Immediately after the "Leviathan" image, I painted "Bait Ball" in 2008, depicting ichtyosaurs (unnamed) hunting Thrissops (plus Trachyteuthis). This image is second only to Leviathan for publishing and exhibition licenses and print sales.

The 2008 "Leviathan" painting, which depicts Pliosaurus and Cryptoclidus, was originally commissioned by the Museum of Jurassic Marine Life, at Lulworth, UK. Here are a few photos of the earliest uses in museums (over the past 16 years it has been used in many others all around the world).
