People like to say, if you spend money on anything, you're short bitcoin. You should work as hard as possible, as much as possible to collect as much as possible.
For bitcoin adoption and encouraging growth of the network, I do like this attitude. It does help shift a perspective for people in a fiat mindset, which is to consume it all now and fuck the future. Historically, humans in much of the world, had to spend all year preparing for winter. I believe changes in modern society reduce that need at our detriment.
Should we maximize of our efforts for the future? When does the future become the present? I think working on a seasonal cycle was better. Something like: prepare, harvest / celebrate, prepare, endure. A longer term, generational, cycle is also important.
I don't want to be rich AF. I want to find a balance of saving for later and living in the moment. My future is questionable anyway. Its likely I won't be here. I mostly just want the freedom to work on the things that I enjoy and attempt to find my own ways to contribute.

I like when it has a fudgy-ness to it. Where the mouth feel is thicker than it really is. Occasionally it turns out that way. Some coffee shop cold cold brew does too.
I tried many waters, ratios, temperatures, extraction times. Usually kinda sour. I need to work on it more. When I get back to it, I'll start measuring pH.

Everytime I use this grill, im super happy. Thats about 4 days per week for the past year. Best steaks ever, over and over, all year.
This about 1.4 inch ribeye was medium rare in 3 minutes 30 sec. You can get an excellent char and still be rare.

If I open a channel with the LSP, is there a policy on how long they will keep the channel open? If i dont use it much will they close it soon? If i do use it long term, how much volume needs to transact to convince them to leave it open?
My hope is to keep a channel open forever. But its not used a whole lot right now. I mostly send zaps which arent paying much fees. I try to buy things but most things I buy arent on lightning yet.

Yes, something in my brain switched in the last few years and im in a state of conflict. I want to have enough wealth to live medium comfortable. But i dont want to contribute to this slavery system.

Air gapping. do we really need it?
Why is an animated QR code communication needed. Is this any better than communication with a UART? I do accept that USB and Ethernet are much more complicated and have larger attack surface. Using these interfaces would potentially allow exploits of bugs in the hardware or middleware.
But what about an isolated serial interface? Technically its air-gapped, but its still coupled in some way.
I first heard this discussed on citadel dispatch talk on VLS.tech. I think I agree with this. Animated QR does limit the surface. But UART communication is almost as good. You can audit the communications without much difficulty in both cases but neither are human auditable.
UART hardware is simple. The protocols are simple.
Air gapped hardware could also have USB support and have the air gapping done via isolation on the same board.
Animated QR codes are an isolation method. There are several isolation methods. You can use transformers for magnetic coupling. Capacitors for capacitive coupling. Opto isolation using LEDs and light sensors. You could send the data with air pressure, speaker + mic.
There is not much different between an opto-isolated UART and an animated QR code.

Yea USA. Around here, ribeye and tenderloin have a premium. Find the less known cuts and you save a lot. Find less good cuts in wagyu and you get better meat and less expensive than popular prime cuts.
butcher sells these for fajita meat, but I just eat them with salt or with chimichurri sauce.
with wagyu, there is a lot that isn't anything special but still has that label. My grocery store wagyu is not better than prime but still costs a little more.

This one was 35$/pound. Its a christmas treat. My butcher constantly stocks this cut in non-a9 wagyu for 20$/pound. Imo its worth the experience. I tried both a9 and non back to back. it has a very different flavor and texture.

Australian wagyu sirloin flap. Its a9 and its great. This cut is expensive but cheaper than prime tenderloin. Using a badass knife increases testosterone by at least 200 points.

Rust seems very interesting and I'm starting to learn it. but, as a life long embedded mostly c engineer, rust is a big change. I need better tools maybe. I can't see whats going on in the chip. I get a hard fault inside this HAL crate. debugger is lost during the hard fault. I'm going to end up writing all the driver code myself I think.

I think its working out so far. But if in x years, monetary transactions are still pushed out by collectible transactions then it will be obvious that no one is taking it seriously as a monetary system.

lightning will be the interconnect between different systems like ecash, custodians, ark nodes, businesses, other big stuff.
people will use lightning and not be aware of it.
companies will manage nodes and users will retain control over signatures with lightning validating signers. I think they can do that. But individual people will probably get priced out of this like everything else.

IMO yes. Picking a pattern is no different than picking a 12 word phrase from a 2048 word list. But the pattern isnt random, Its biased because you can remember the shape.
So the entropy is mostly in the randomized list. If your list gets out then I think you have a problem.

Imagine crossing a border with a grid and agents taking a picture of your list. Then after the fact they go home, enter the grid into their AI tool which tries to brute force with human friendly patterns.

I was doing ETH from 2021 until they shut it down and it was profitable. After ETH I decided it wasnt worth doing another coin.
Im all for shorting a shitcoin with constant sell pressure and dumping into bitcoin, but Im not willing to save in a shitcoin in the hopes of making more bitcoin. Im not convinced any minable coin will pump faster than bitcoin.
