This is a good list. I think the only real concerns, however is bitcoin fracturing and solving the self custody problem.
A big point of weakness that’s overlooked is the bitcoin core devs, especially in light of some of them merging in commits without public scrutiny. They have done an amazing job of upgrading and maintaining core but it does seem there isn’t enough eyes on that process from the general public.
The issue with everyone needing to be able to self custody is people can’t, then we’re back to square one with people needing some sort of bank to hold their wealth. #note1yj4…semr

I don’t think embracing bias is helpful when furthering the collective knowledge of humanity. Wikipedia’s problem isn’t that they stuck to a steadfast neutral position, is that they failed to do so.
Shedding of bias in pursuit of objective truth led to the Enlightenment and our ability to understand nature and manipulate it.

a lot of this is over my head, but this article seems to imply a few developers who have merge access might have gone rogue and made changes to #bitcoin core without discussion from the wider community.
If enough node operators pick up these changes without being aware, we might go quite a few blocks with some funky rule set, and require a hard fork to back track those blocks which would be pretty disastrous.

I think as engagement between users naturally grows, people will start sticking to the app.
When people unknowingly curate their own communities on #nostr, they’ll compare the feeling of being on here vs being back on an algorithm fed app and realize the toxicity driven dopamine hits aren’t as worth it as being surrounded by their digital tribe.
