Last Notes npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Scam detected npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery My thesis is this: Bitcoin is the jar of labor, that we fill with the value of time. The amount of time is always going to target 10 min, but the amount of jars we divide that time into shrinks while the amount of labor put into filling the jars generally grows. The jars are limited to 21 million, but the amount of value in time and energy they can represent is limitless and pushed upward exponentially over time with the halving mechanism. As long as the limit of 21 million remains, as long as every 4 years we have a halving, as long as there's no authority capable of demanding censorship of transactions, as long as wallet creation stays completely open with no gatekeeping, as long as those who hold keys can send to any address they please, and as long as the network remains proof of work, as long as you can run your own node, then nothing else really matters. The enemies of Bitcoin will do everything they can to make it work for them instead of for us, but they will fail because Bitcoin as a concept is too important to fail, and too valuable to those who are paying attention. Bitcoin is for those who escape warzones and need savings they can take with them through checkpoints and across borders, for those who want to escape inflation and fiat-slavery, for those who want to send money internationally without middle men, for those who oppose unchecked central power through monetary debasement, for those who oppose endless wars, and for those who want the world to simply slow down. I am concerned about the mining centralization, but I'm also not that worried about it long term. I am concerned about fiat governments colluding against Bitcoin, but I'm also not that worried about it long term. Even if the "first" Bitcoin network fails to escape capture, Satoshi discovered and showed the basics necessary for a successful electricity and time based proof of work coin, and we can try again. Something I have thought about, is central points of failure are the Achilles heel of anything. Look at the Coldcard hack, those who lost everything had Coldcard as a single point of failure in their personal Bitcoin system. What if there is an oversight we as bitcoiners are all having? What if having only one proof-of-work timechain is too much of a single point of failure? Hell, if Bitcoin is truly to be decentralized, wouldn't it make sense to have multiple proof of work time chains running as siblings to Bitcoin? Not shitcoins, parallel Bitcoin's with their own decentralized control, proof of work mining process, token limit, and halving schedule. The difficult thing about this is avoiding premines or movements with leaders or foundations that control the network, as those can never truly be free networks and would thus inevitably become shitcoins even if they didn't necessarily start that way. This is something I have considered as possibly the next phase of Bitcoin, maybe over the long term Bitcoin will become multiple parallel networks with bridges between them. The unifying factor not being a single network, but their shared connection to time and energy. That is what makes Bitcoin Bitcoin, not so much the timechain, but time itself. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery There are more ways to improve your life than by diversifying into alternative monetary assets. During the last bull, from early 2024 to late 2025, I chose to build a film and television library. Now that we're in a bear market I can enjoy cutting subscription services and still have a library to keep me busy. Last night we watched The Fox and the Hound, we don't have Disney plus. I also have almost every Studio Ghibli film, we recently watched Spirited Away, Ponyo, and Kiki's Delivery Service (one of my favorites, I love Phil Hartman's performance as Gigi!). What is pictured is not my full library btw, just the main section. I didn't have a single copy of any movie before around January 2024. Feels good to build value in the physical world around me. I'm now looking into CDs at thrift stores and buying a lot of awesome discs of soundtracks, discovering new (to me) artists, and beautiful tranquil music for relaxation. Online there's lots of cool new affordable CD players with remotes and built in speakers even. My advice for anyone wanting to do the same: Hunt at local Thrift stores, lots of good movies available for a buck or two each. Hunt eBay sellers running buy 2 get 1 free specials on movies that are under $5 each, so 3 for $10 effectively. I also enjoy big sellers for new movies, such as Gruv (though I've read there's a quality dip recently) and please rewind on eBay. Always be building value in something real. 🤟 https://blossom.primal.net/d38a2d6ce9f361e1c864d1aa7383903670731dc82659176298a608c1f390afe6.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/e2af97271fe896e161746e94ffe7c90ad19d4546af6fae6cf7422a6b54b72636.jpg https://blossom.primal.net/6b71b7a004521c73857994cc6da8cecb08f201dfbea5d1701f632bc81b102fd8.jpg npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery It appears that Gold and Bitcoin are behaving similarly. In the words of a Biologist friend: "It's like looking at the heartbeats of two different animals." https://blossom.primal.net/376f986e4edf498af747c90dc36ae983906aac6f3da2c3949cb5b2899005c5a5.png https://blossom.primal.net/23069ddd2d70d565612cff48a2637a7206bea12d1925deba6a5d5553e0729d3c.jpg npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery So you're giving significant financial incentive to every miner who both strikes a block and doesn't initially support BIP-110, to continue to not support BIP-110? Fascinating strategy, let's see if it works out. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery https://blossom.primal.net/5991e3e8cd7e6bc2744a5c85c206fc5f0eaf9c105f03a38cdf49bcff6164daff.gif npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery I have been thinking about the victims of the #Coldcard for days. I even cried a few times. Years of stacking, learning about why Bitcoin is revolutionary, why fiat is a plague, why the type of money you use really matters... To imagine all the effort and time put into it, only to have the stack suddenly gone because they put a 0 where a 1 should've been. Gone, just like that, for thousands of plebs, just like me. This is infuriating and should never have happened!!! So many times I've read recommendations for Coldcard as the most secure "airgapped" wallet, which I thought was probably safer than my current setup... But I decided it wasn't worth the trouble as I trusted my setup well enough. Ironically, the less trustworthy option I was using saved my ass. But the part that really gets me, is the trust I have in my setup is almost the same trust that the victims had in theirs, and if it failed them it could've just as surprisingly and just as easily been me. I am lucky that the self-custody setup and hardware wallet manufacturer I chose hasn't had a catastrophic issue that cost me my coins (yet). The risk is now more obvious then ever with the downfall of Coldcard, that you cannot keep all your eggs in one basket. Multiple manufacturers of hardware, multiple seeds, multiple passphrases, etc. You can do everything everyone says is right with self custody and still get fucked. This is a nightmare, and I feel horrible for the victims. 💔 What a terrible time for Bitcoin and bitcoiners. Just terrible. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Self custody risk will never be "solved" as it relies more on personal responsibility. Both self custody and custodians have their own risks which must be considered and accounted for. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Bitcoin was created to avoid relying on financial institutions which consistently violate the trust placed into them. Bitcoiners have turned hardware wallet manufacturers into the new banks for the new money, in this case the trust in the hardware was violated and your solution is to go back to custodians? Missing the point entirely. But I can understand why, you do you. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery At best they'll offer real quality BIPs that the network will reject or accept, or they'll fork themselves into a shitcoin and the stronger decentralized Bitcoin will win as usual. https://blossom.primal.net/8a50c447539383e7f1ee5700b0896caa76ca4f3ab60739063b8898dd24e8117c.mp4 npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery It do be like that. #nevent1q…5g9x npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery The only things I enjoy spending my Bitcoin on are: food, bills, medical/dental care, and physical precious metal products. There's no world in which I would endure hunger or physical pain from medical issues just to continue holding Bitcoin, as revolutionary as it is it's just money and there's no shame in actually using it to take care of yourself. There's also no shame in using your Bitcoin to buy other forms of physical value storage that have historically held a place in prosperous societies and will hold a place again in the future on a global Bitcoin standard. IMO the rise of Bitcoin will coincide with a resurgence of precious metal currencies. But instead of the precious metals being the ultimate store of value, they will become treated like cash is today. Just as you don't want to hold too much cash today and want to spend it, the same will be true of the "cash" of the future. Smart people will trade their excess gold and silver for Bitcoin, just as smart people trade their excess cash for assets today. Gold loses value against Bitcoin faster than cash loses value against gold, only gold is able to support a happy long life while paper cash cannot. In a world with a Bitcoin standard, you can use Bitcoin in place of gold as the pinnacle of value storage and just spend gold into the economy. Those who do not understand Bitcoin, can use gold to support a happy life until they learn to understand why Bitcoin is trustworthy. There is value in transferring value without the aid of a computer, physical currency is more intuitive and easier to understand and that's okay. Both will have their place in the economy to come. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Bitcoin's success is all but guaranteed over the long term. The math is sound, the distribution and control is decentralized, the economic incentives are strong, and the need is great. I've made predictions in the past, they turned out incorrect. I think the failure is trying to put Bitcoin into predicted specific outcomes when it should be looked at more elastically. Bitcoin is on the path to some day bring the world into a new age of energy abundance. Not just in creation and usage, but in storage as well. Do things, don't do things, the end result of global Bitcoin dominance will still occur according to cause and affect. Focus on your family, your health (mental/physical), and defend your future by building your stack enough to be ready for anything. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Don't threaten me with a good time. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery https://blossom.primal.net/088ee4edfb036369a0805e1e2b3af2a493a673ca2c34aa367e74645c7a937709.jpg npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery This is HUGE news. The world we're in now is transitory, the world of tomorrow is already underway and will grow more obvious as time goes on. The world is getting better all the time. #nevent1q…uge3 npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery By printing 6 - 7% a year, on a debt that only has less than 4% interest. Increasing the money supply and the debt by 7% in a year, debases the real value of all dollars by about the same. So in real terms the value of the debt decreases faster than the interest increases the debt in nominal terms. Counterintuitively increasing the debt and printing money actually reduces the debt burden on the federal government, without actually ever repaying it. In their unique case, the higher the debt goes the better it is for them. Unfortunately, the worse it is for everyone else. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Bold of you to assume the network subsidy will disappear in over 100 years just because the current ruleset leads to that end. IMO it will become clear that the Halving is core to why Bitcoin is revolutionary, it's effects on value appreciation will also likely make it necessary to increase division beyond the Satoshi on chain before much longer. @nprofile…tjfj https://wavlake.com/track/29838a19-8e7e-4d28-b03e-26c07faa9930 npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Just listened to some of your stuff last night! As Bitcoin grows, Monero stagnates. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Monero means well, but on chain traceability of balances is necessary to ensure there are no inflation bugs. Plus, only the largest balances (banks, nation states, and corporations) really get watched and those are the ones that the world needs to know about and shouldn't be hidden. Don't have the new prebiotic sodas more than once a day. Over time energy prices tend to go down, but the amount of energy competing for Bitcoin goes up on average more than the value falls, coupled with a programmed reduction of block subsidy output against time every 210k blocks, and you get near certainty that over the decades the value of Bitcoin will grow against everything else humanity produces. As you begin to truly understand this and find you have enough sats to live slowly, meaningfully, frugally, uncompromised on the hardest and most honest money, I would suggest stacking silver coins from your largest local mint. For those of us in the United States this means old silver coins from pre-1965 and new Silver Proof coins minted from 1992 onward. These coins often have no premium, if you pay attention you'll often be able to find them at or even below their current silver melt value meaning they are treated as nothing but the raw metal in terms of market value. Become familiar with the various methods of verifying the coins you receive for true silver content, understand the look of copper-clad vs silver coins by checking the edge, understand the difference in how they sound when dropped, and how they feel when held. To have savings that bring true peace of mind, you have to make your savings real. Holding real physical silver coins, and even gold for those stackers with truly substantial holdings, truly feels magical and connecting to a time in history when society used quality money in everyday commerce. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery I guess I don't understand your point, do you disagree? I'm talking about this specific scenario: hyperinflation in paper, no internet access and I need to pay my bills at home. In this scenario I can't access my Bitcoin at home, it doesn't matter if it's hard to travel with substantial silver or gold holdings because I'm not traveling. And if I am traveling it's to somewhere that I can access the internet (and thus Bitcoin) I don't need to worry about the difficulties of traveling with metal as I'll have access to funds when I arrive. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery The problem with thinking everything is a conspiracy, is there's a tendency to jump to conclusions without evidence which is not a very intelligent way to view the world. I don't work for anyone that I don't choose. I don't belong to anyone other than my chosen family. I am a peaceful individual, and I do not support liars and thieves that take from us in order to pay those that kill us. The more authoritarian and murderous those in power become, the more my resolve grows to resist. Not openly, not suicidally directly, but in every indirect and private way I can. Avoiding theft through inflation by choosing to save in Bitcoin is the first and biggest step, the second is becoming invisible by reducing expenses and living life without grandeur. This avoids the attention of the worst of those among us, and allows one to be among the most free people on earth. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery #nevent1q…cdfp npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery To own Bitcoin, is to be a Shepherd of value. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery It was declared illegal to refuse to pay taxes to Caesar, but where is Caesar now and when was the last time you paid taxes to him? When was the last time that declaration was able to be enforced? At another time it was declared illegal to refuse to pay taxes/tithes to the Holy See, but when was the last time that was able to be enforced? Those who proclaim authority over others will always declare it illegal to refuse them the rent they seek from you, but if they cannot enforce it then is it really something worth worrying about? Call their bluff, make them work for their theft, do not become your own tax collector. They have no authority over you, the only power they have is the power people let them have. Even the smallest delay is a form of effective resistance to tyranny, and time is on our side. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery I do not believe in the gods of the state. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Your attention is your life energy. Your attention is value. Only give value to things that give you value in return. Things that demand you give them value without anything in return, do not benefit your life and should be ignored. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Goldbacks don't compete with Bitcoin, they compete with the paper dollar. Gold in any form devalues against Bitcoin faster than paper devalues against Gold, they're not even in the same game. But there's something unique to seeing a growing amount of physical Gold and Silver monetary units in your possession, whether coins or Goldbacks, that just scratches an itch that digital wealth can't reach. Physical value makes wealth real, wouldn't it make sense that those who command the most digital value end up accumulating the most physical value as well? All humans do is coordinate the movement of various forms of matter and energy around the physical world, Gold and Silver are a part of that coordinated movement. Bitcoin is the galactic center, everything else simply orbits it. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery In the last 10 years the United States mint has produced copper coins with a total cumulative face value of roughly $9 - $10 Billion. During the same period of time the M2 money supply has increased by $10 Trillion. Meaning in the last decade only $1 out of every $1000 has been produced in actual copper coinage, 0.1% of all new dollars were made of physical metal. Copper may not be silver or gold but it is still a metal that was used as coinage throughout history, it is harder to create than paper or digital fiat, and I enjoy spending it far more than I enjoy spending any other form of the dollar other than old silver when a small business or individual decides to accept it. In 1933 we lost the circulating Gold Dollar, in 1935 the production of the whole circulating Silver Dollar, in 1965 the circulating 90% Silver Fractional Dollar, 1971 the circulating 40% Silver Fractional Dollar, and in the future we will lose the circulating Copper Dollar / Fractional Copper Dollar just like we just lost the Penny. If I'm forced to spend fiat, I will spend copper as much as I can, paper after that, and card only when dealing with large purchases where cash and coin have been made impractical. But I will do my best to go to businesses that accept sound money in any form, to spend money is to create it and introduce it into the economy so the better the money you can use to do that the better the economy will become. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Both. The mental shift occurs gradually in everyone, but it will happen to everyone given enough time. I think the Satoshi will be the unit of account for a time, before it too becomes too valuable to be used in that way practically. I think one day Bitcoin will evolve increased divisibility, perhaps the halving will be modified to be endlessly occurring and alongside each new halving a decimal will be added to increase division. Every halving causes the cost of Bitcoin to double in terms of time, given this it's only a matter of time until the increased value from each halving adds up and makes increased division necessary. The Bitcoin network of today may one day look antiquated to Bitcoiners of the future, in the same way the Turing Bombe computer looks antiquated to us today. It will change in ways we can't predict, it will evolve organically into new forms and perhaps it will experience hard forks that spawn children that are not shitcoins but instead symbolize different generations of Bitcoin that if successful will be able to coexist. I don't know what will happen for certain, but I know Bitcoin is still a baby that has yet to mature. When fully mature everything will be different, the world will look alien, and Bitcoin will become humanities economic foundation for centuries if not millennia. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery One day, some respectable amount of time from now, 1 Satoshi will be worth more than what 1 Bitcoin is now. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery The government is controlled by people who traffic, rape, eat, and taxidermy children, their goons are disappearing and murdering people in the streets, bombing and murdering children in foreign schools, and sending billions to their friends while cancelling food stamps for millions. But don't forget to be your own tax collector for them, report all your Bitcoin transactions and calculate the capital gains taxes, compared to the forever war enabling and endlessly printed devaluing dollar, which you self report and send to the IRS. If you don't you'll be committing a serious crime. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery Bitcoiners support all forms of sound money. People are starting to have less FUD about bitcoin's environmental affects thanks in no small part to your efforts. npub1kl8aguhljq6yrmrv64dm2phew3pprfhx3ef9yh2zg3gkn0dq8adqzfq497 TheBitcoinBattery I think people are struggling more and more, and due to this struggle they become more intensely focused on the drama surrounding the central power that issues the nations currency because they believe "their group" controlling the center of power will bring them relief from those struggles. It's just desperation. People don't understand that letting go of the dying fiat currencies, and the organizations that supply them, will actually bring them more relief. That lack of understanding coupled with the algorithms that drive the most eyes to the most engaging information, leads to the most dramatic people getting the most attention and the most supporters/fans. This is why Trump/Bolsonaro won their elections, they are simply more attention grabbing and hold more eyes to screens than the other more sensible people do.
