I'm 30k+ words into a book I'm writing on #Bitcoin, #energy, and #macroeconomics. I've been a bit frustrated lately as I haven't written anything in months (summer road trip, apartment search and then #moving apartments), but last night I had a brain storm and wrote 1k+ words!
I have some symptoms of a mix of #ADHD and #ASD so I often find it difficult to finish large projects, but I believe I will finish this book before too long. Never written a #book before, feels good to create something lasting. ❤️😊

Everything trends towards it's marginal cost of production.
Think of how if there are shortages in production of any market good the price of all units in the supply of that good skyrocket to increase available supply to meet demand.
Bitcoin is the only asset in history that has a forever increasing marginal cost of production, in not one but two metrics, over the long term.
Historically everything sees increased efficiency in it's production over time, even Gold. This curtails any significant gains to be had, from societal efficiency improvements, just by holding it.
But with ₿ the increasing energy efficiency of ASICs over time is countered by the difficulty adjustment, maintaining the time required to mine the same amount of ₿ while increasing the energy required. As miners get more efficient, the network adjusts the mining difficulty to absorb that efficiency and result in no net gain.
The difficulty adjustment raises, and sometimes lowers in the short term, bitcoin's marginal cost of production related to electricity (but NOT time) based on the demand for Bitcoin on the open market. Due to market dynamics this effect is what drives the hash rate increases over time, and increases bitcoin's price measured in electricity.
Further, the halving forces a sudden 100% increase in the marginal cost of production every 4 years related to TIME as well as energy.
This functionally raises Bitcoin's price as measured in time.
For the first time we have a sovereign, liquid and global, bearer asset that actively counters human efforts to make more of it for less effort, and instead requires more time / effort / energy to get it as time goes on.
Bitcoin fixes our money, and is humanity's shared savings account.

Primal and Amethyst. I use primal primarily (heh), but I like how amethyst has a different way of sorting and showing me posts. I like some things about amethyst better and some things about primal better, but I have less friction zapping posts thanks to primals built in wallet.

What information am I missing about seed oils being particularly worth avoiding? what qualifies as a seed oil? Are fruit oils okay such as Avocado? What about coconut? Coconut is a seed is it not? Palm fruit vs Palm kernal oil?
Are nut oils considered okay or seed oils?

It's sad that you think you actually have a choice at all. Really, the fact that we only ever have 2 - 20 people to pick from (depending on if you count the primaries or not) is proof you don't get to choose. It's an illusion of choice. The wealthy only fund campaigns that either way further their interests. Good luck running a successful campaign on actual change, because the people it would benefit the most have the least money and are struggling to just survive.
Statistically your vote is at best about as likely to affect the outcome of the election as you are to be struck by lightning in a given year, at worst it's much less likely than that.
These elections are more America's reality TV show anymore than able to affect actual change in our government.

#Cults are built on unverifiable "truths" that only the leaders can teach the followers. #Bitcoin is literally just #VerifiableTruth, the #blockchain, the opposite of a cult.
It only seems like a cult because the #passion Bitcoiners exhibit for this #SoCalled "#investment" is similar to the passion actual #cult members express about their cults.
To an uniformed person, the Bitcoin culture may feel that way; Because, similar to cult members, it's the most important thing in the lives of many #Bitcoiners (and is what we all talk about more than anything else). But ~why~ DO we find it SO important? Quite frankly, it's the only thing that gives many of us a hopeful future as opposed to the dismal future the #FIAT system guarantees.
It's so refreshingly simple and yet so profound in it's #macroeconomic affects on the world.
#War becomes less profitable and less affordable when you can't just print your local currency away to pay for it, and thus can no longer rob the entire population of their life savings and future earnings (through the debasement of wages that results from debasement of currency).
You also can't benefit from war as much anymore because you can't just steal the stored wealth of the people you conquered, because good luck finding the private keys of everyone who you just killed in the city you burned. In the long run, war nearly disappears.
#Housing is no longer treated as an investment and instead returns to it's utility value ONLY, being useful as a home to live in and raise a family in. Housing becomes more affordable, homelessness slowly disappears.
On a #BitcoinStandard the buying power of your wages go up instead of down, putting the average worker on the high ground of the negotiation table at the renewal of their employment contract. Instead of your boss granting YOU a "raise", that is often much less than the rate of debasement, you must instead grant THEM a wage reduction to account for the value of the units the wages are paid in going up. This makes it so over time your wages go up in value even after counting the reductions in measured units, so life gets more affordable instead of less as it does now on a FIAT system.
Instead of rampant #consumerism destroying our planet and producing endless amounts of #cheap #low-quality #garbage that fills up our #oceans / #rivers / #NaturalAreas, it incentivizes more careful and considerate purchases with an eye for #quality. Is this product actually worth my #HardEarned #money? Is it worth the #OpportunityCost of the better products I could buy next year with the same amount that will be worth more? Or is the value I'll receive from owning it over the next year greater than the value my money itself would grow by? Products have to offer real value to people, reducing #waste.
With the current FIAT debt-based economic system everyone giving all their excess money to giant corporate overlords who then use it to "grow" by any means necessary, including buying out all their competitors (and becoming #monopolies and #oligarchs in control of the #government), and not giving a damn about the people and lands they exploit to grow their bottom line. Instead, on a #SoundMoney system like Bitcoin people can save up their earnings and use them how they see fit without #CounterpartyRisk since Bitcoin is a #BearerAsset. This increases the ability of the average person to start successful #SmallBusinesses, and overtime increases #innovation as small businesses take more #risks on #PassionProjects they actually believe provide #RealValue to the world.
These are only a few of the benefits having a hard money that's cryptographically secured will bring, there are many more. This is bigger than the #internet, bigger than the #IndustrialRevolution. Perhaps the single biggest discovery for the progression of the human race in millennia. #Uncorruptible, #indisputable, #verifiable, #truth in #finance.
Bitcoin is humanities launching pad to an #abundant future where everything is #affordable, and where waste, #corruption, and war are minimized.

Reminder that capital gains are calculated on US dollars and are NOT adjusted for inflation. If you have a stock that goes up 6% and you sell it, but the money supply goes up 7% in the same time frame, then the government dropped the value of your investments overall and is still demanding a cut of the "gains" your investment saw in dollar denominated units. What a farce.

As an #American I have #voted in every #election since I turned 18. But I fear I cannot in good #conscience vote for either candidate for #president this year.
It's not just "both sides bad" BS, as they both have horrible policies that I dread either one becoming president.
#Trump is working with others towards #Project25 which essentially is a coup against our #government and will push #America even more towards #fascist #conservatism. Among his other major flaws.
#Kamala #Harris is actually proposing #PriceControls on food. But price controls do not work. The only reason food prices are rising is because the dollar's value is falling, because they keep #printing more of it (endless printing of funds IS a "both sides" problem), these aren't actually record prices and record profits at all it's actually record low values for the dollar we measure prices in. Price controls lead to #FoodShortages, it doesn't magically make the same food cheaper.
I cannot support a candidate who is pushing us towards a more fascist #conservative America, and I cannot support a candidate who is proposing price controls which will just cause food #shortages.
Not familiar with what price controls have done throughout history? The Roman Empire is the biggest example that comes to mind, as they tried to do the same thing around 200 years into the debasement of their coins having removed all but 5% of the silver from them. Rome collapsed less than a century later.

The #news and #algorithms get the most #engagement from sad, scary, and depressing stories. Since more engagement means they make more money, which they have to do to survive in the #FIAT system, that is what they overwhelmingly focus on because #fear pays the bills.
As a result the majority of people feel like the world is getting worse and worse, when it's in not! In fact, it's getting better and better with new inventions and innovations being thought up and worked on all the time.

I'm really into Mason jars lately and this is a great idea! I can keep a small number of jars dry for when I need a dry one, but otherwise keeping them full of water is brilliant, even if we don't like tap it's better than nothing in an emergency situation.

I agree. People do better work when they love what they're doing because they WANT to do it. Forcing people to work when they don't want to, because they have to pay their bills as the monetary system keeps making prices go up while savings go down and means they're miserable and doing subpar work anyway. The best work is done by people who choose to do it, let people choose.

I was thinking this morning about how we leave LED lights on all the time and don't even care, yet our grandparents would walk around turning off the lights whenever they left a room, and it got me thinking about the real #debasement adjusted electricity cost of 1960 vs today.
In 1960 an oz of #gold was $35, and a kwh of #electricity was 2.6 cents. So you could buy 1346 kwh for an oz of gold, which you could earn with 12.7 hours of labor at the #medianwage of $2.75/hr. This also meant you could buy 105.8 kwh of electricity with an hour of your time. A #lightbulb would use 60 watts, so would use a kwh every 16.5 hours.
Today an oz of gold is about $2600, which you can earn in 76.74 hours at today's median wage of $33.88, and the cost per kwh of electricity has "gone up" to about 16.5 cents meaning you could buy 15,757 kwhs with an oz of Gold, and you can buy 205.33 kwh with an hour of your time.
Relative to gold electricity has dropped in price 91.5%. But #wages have dropped in value relative to gold by 83.45%. So relative to hourly wages, the meaningful metric to people, electricity has reduced in price by only about 1/2.
However, in addition to the price of electricity falling substantially, the #electronics we use are also much more efficient. Today an LED light bulb will use only 10 watts, 6 times less than in 1960, and gives you 100 hours of light for only 1 kwh. 6 times more light for half the price, or 12 times more light for the same price! A 91.7% reduction in cost for lighting our homes relative to our labor hours.
On the median hourly wage today you can get over 20,000 hours of light from a single lightbulb for 1 hour of labor. In 1960 you could only get just over 1700 hours of light. Not to mention the cost to replace the light bulbs going down as well, due to their longer durability. This is a substantial improvement by almost any metric.
But what if wages had stayed the same relative to Gold because the world lived on a sound monetary standard the entire time?
If in 1960 an oz of gold could buy you 1346 kwh which would give you 16.5 hours of light each, that works out to 22,209 hours of light per oz of Gold. Since it would take you 12.7 hours to earn that oz of gold, 1 hour of median labor would get you 1748.74 hours of light.
Fast forward to today, cheaper electricity + more efficient electronics, an oz of gold will give you 15,757 kwhs of electricity which can power an LED bulb for 100 hours each. So an oz of gold now gives us 1,575,700 hours of light vs 22,209 hours in 1960. This means if wages had stayed the same relative to Gold then you would get 124,070.9 hours of light from an hour of your labor, instead of the 20,000 hours you can actually get today. All vs the 1748.74 hours of light you could get for the same hour of labor 64 years ago.
124,070.9 / 1748.74 = 70.94
71 times more light for the same amount of gold, thanks to efficiency gains in our light bulbs and improvements to our electricity generating capacity bringing the cost of energy down. The world is getting incredibly cheaper all around us all the time, we just don't see it thanks to the FIAT system. Due to this FIAT debasement, 83% of the efficiency/technological gains has been taken from us all. This is the real theft.
Monetary Inflation is theft, the growth rate of the M2 is the true inflation rate, not the CPI. Inflation doesn't just rob us of our past earnings in the form of our savings, it reduces our future earnings too by debasing our wages.
₿ clears the fog of debasement we've been living under, truly revealing the world of abundance we live in TODAY. If we embrace its simplicity as the best savings instrument ever discovered and/or created by humanity, then we will all truly prosper having freed ourselves from the yoke of bondage that is the centrally controlled FIAT currencies of the world.
You really don't need to work so much. Have a new perspective, lower your time preference, live as frugally as possible within your means and do whatever you can to save as much of your money in BTC and you will be free of the drudgery much more quickly. Buy second hand whenever possible, learn how to cook at home and buy tools that assist you in that endeavor such as a quality blender / slow cooker / pressure cooker / rice cooker / bread maker etc. When you're free, you'll be able to use your time for more useful and important endeavors such as thinking / writing / inventing / volunteering and so on, and also have more time to spend with your family and friends.
Contrary to what many today feel, life is worth living and it can be much more meaningful. The future is bright and full of hope, you just have to leave the cave to see it.

I watch a lot of movies, and 9 months ago I started collecting physical copies to free myself from being a perpetual renter through streaming services. So if I do say so myself, I'm the perfect person to answer this!
I would say the 2 most impactful movies that I've seen, that I cried during (I'm a 30+ year old man), and have watched at least half a dozen times each are:
1: Puss in boots: The Last Wish.
I went to the theater to watch this on a whim thinking I like Shrek movies well enough, and I was stunned the entire time. The animations are stunningly gorgeous, the story is fun and heartfelt, the characters can be hilarious, the villain is incredible. All around, one of my favorite movies of all time. I cannot recommend it enough! Peak DreamWorks.
2: Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio.
I saw it on Netflix when it was recommended and I was crying throughout the entire movie. I have watched it so many times because I showed it to so many people. This is the best Pinocchio adaptation ever made. Incredibly well done story, absolutely gorgeous stop motion animation, and it really puts in perspective the gift that is the time we have to spend with those we love.
Other movies I would also recommend highly as really well done:
3: Dungeons and dragons: Honor among thieves.
This is just a really well made, really fun movie. I've seen it several times and really enjoyed watching it each time. Great characters, really funny interactions, and decent plot.
4: All Quiet on the Western front.
This isn't a fun movie, it's very depressing honestly. Very well done portrayal of life as a young German youth at the start of The Great War, how they were lead to believe war was glorious, and they ended up as shells of their former self through the experience of it.
(The FIAT system has enabled these horrible wars, that alone is enough to make me support Bitcoin with a strong moral conviction, it's just the right thing to do to starve the FIAT system and make these wars less likely to occur, and end them quicker if they do. Loved your book BTW, and love the YouTube video version even more thanks to how it allows me to show the heart of the book to my friends and family in an easily digestible way.)
5: The last duel.
This movie was very different from your typical film. It's an adaptation of a historically based book telling the story of the last duel in medieval France. The duel took place due to a historical rape, and the movie tells the story in 3 chapters which each retell the same story from the different perspectives of each of the main characters. Very well done. Incredible acting by the cast. Incredible set design and costumes. Peak Cinema.
Honorable mentions:
6: Spider-Man across the spiderverse.
Absolutely incredible viewing experience. Incredible animations, great story and audio.
7: Last night in Soho.
Great and unique ghost story style of movie.
8: Everything everywhere all at once.
Hilarious the first time I watched it, but for some reason it's just okay on subsequent watches.
9: Knives out.
Great "Who dunnit?" detective movie.
10: Dora and the lost city of Gold.
Much more enjoyable than I expected, fun movie.
11: Jojo rabbit.
Hard to explain, but it's a great movie.
12: Barbie.
13: Oppenheimer.
14: Dune (Both parts)
Those are my personal recommendations. Maybe someday we can share a cup of coffee and have a chat over some of them, or about macro economics and Bitcoin. I enjoy listening to your interviews on podcasts and especially loved your recent interview on Macroscopic.
I'm actually writing my own book on Bitcoin. Who knows how long until I'll be published, but the best things are worth the wait. Having a low time preference is a much better way of life than most people live, and since I've really embraced that my life has become much more relaxed and enjoyable.

One thing I love about #Bitcoin is it's #volatility. Why? Because it's volatility is evidence of it being a truly #freemarketgood.
You see when something is 'stable' it's actually being #manipulated. The U.S. Dollar is the most 'stable' currency in the world, yet it loses about 7% of it's value in a year in perpetuity due to this #manipulation. (So only giving the #illusion of stability really).
Here's an #analogy: Think of the demand for any good within a free market like an open pool of #EconomicEnergy that we'll represent with oil (the demand is literally the economic energy flowing into it, through purchases and the work needed to create more of this market good), with the surface of the pool being the spot price.
Just as with actual oil it takes a lot of energy to produce new quantities of this oil and put it into the pool, but this is good because it maintains the quality of the oil (energy) in the overall pool. It's volatile but the larger the market the less turbulent the surface is relative to the overall capacity, and you're confident that the quality of the oil you put in will be the same as what you pull out.
(Bitcoin specifically revolutionized this mechanism by adding a way to track the percentage of the overall system that your energy represents at the time you input it, and maintains that percentage as the network grows to maintain fairness for everyone.)
Dumping a ton of oil in this pool at once (lots of buying/producing) causes the surface to become more turbulent, and scooping a ton of oil out all at once (selling/spending/using) does the same.
With Bitcoin, this pool always has a source of new oil regardless of what the market is doing. That is the value of the time / effort / energy that the #MiningNetwork is inserting through #ProofOfWork which simultaneously expands the pool size (the ever reducing creation of new coins) and adds new oil (the proof of work energy those coins represent) at the same time to maintain and grow the overall capacity of the pool.
Mining is the constant source of the energy needed to make the system sustainable (like the Sun provides to earth which sustains life), without it the system cannot survive due to the #SecondLawOfThermodynamics stating all isolated systems become chaotic due to increasing #entropy without a new external source of #energy. This is why #ProofOfStake coins are #unsustainable long term, they have no perpetual source of new energy input outside the open market. Proof of stake coins are closed systems doomed to fail without offering an alternative value proposition to sustain them.
When people stop focusing on the surface turbulence they realize that over time the overall energy of Bitcoin's pool is consistently growing larger, supported by mining, and the surface waves aren't worth worrying about at all if you're not over extended/leveraged.
On the other hand, a government currency is like a sealed box of pressurized water that was once an open pool of oil when it was on the Gold standard. It once was the case that both citizens and their governments would need to do work to put actual oil into it, preserving the quality within when withdrawn, and the market for gold matured long ago so it's volatility was rather small relative to it's overall value enabling it's use as a unit of account.
Gold also takes energy in through the mining of new Gold, but lacks the tracking mechanism to maintain percentages of the overall system that our input represents.
When governments broke from the Gold standard they put a lid on this pool, with a funnel for citizens to continue putting their hard earned oil (economic energy) in, and small valves the government controls for the distribution of oil to those same citizens.
At the same time they added special giant in and out connections for themselves that allow them to simultaneously pump in as much water as they want (printing more fiat with no marginal cost of production, and therefore no energy being input into the system) which dilutes the oil and reduces its ability to function for its purpose (pay for things), while also pumping the mix of citizen provided oil (diluted with government water) out when needed to spend however they see fit.
They can exchange worthless water with the mixture of oil and water as much as they want/need; do it too quickly and citizens lose faith in the pool, as it's obviously not as pure as the oil they put in, and the currency hyperinflates. 7% a year is enough that most people don't immediately notice the change in quality over time, especially when technology reduces how much oil is needed to live through efficiency gains.
In this #FIAT system their is no surface turbulence because it's a sealed box so people have a false sense of safety, in turbulent markets when the pressure in the box grows too low they add restrictions on your ability to use your oil, and pump in a lot of water to increase the pressure of the system to make everyone think everything is fine. But this again reduces the quality of the oil within and also reduces faith in the system (what good is money if it's unavailable when you need it most?), and you need more of this diluted oil to get things done.
Eventually governments abuse this and the system gets diluted of economic energy faster than citizens can add fresh oil, and it just becomes plain water that nobody can use for anything.
Bitcoin prohibits these government manipulation tactics. There is no dilution of the oil allowed. No special government spiggets. It's fair for everyone thanks to it's method of tracking the percentage of the overall system our input represents. During market turbulence you have full access to your #SelfCustodied Bitcoin. And it has a constant source of fresh oil from the mining network that sustains the energy held within.
Bitcoin is truly #Revolutionary. It provides us a way to #Peacefully starve the current toxic system that is #Enslaving us to ourselves. I welcome the #NewAge of #Prosperity it is slowly bringing to #Humanity, and I can't wait to see what the next few decades bring about when supported by the #SoundMoney system that is ₿.

I agree that custodian Bitcoin (or anything really) is not much better than FIAT if they can issue more IOUs than assets they actually have.
I agree that for the time being due to custodians and KYC market places Bitcoin is easier to track due to its transparent block chain, enabling surveillance states.
Self custodial non-KYC Bitcoin is the best overall. At this stage, with few businesses accepting ₿ and most people owning it in KYC custodians, it has large disadvantages.
It's inevitable that people will break free of the custodians and KYC though once it really takes off and we can transact person to person more, but I acknowledge that until that time it's not much better for privacy than FIAT. Thanks for the friendly discourse! 🙂

Beautiful. I love my life and am excited for the future. Spending less than I make, living frugally below my means, all great ways to improve life.
I make my own yogurt, bread, sour cream, jam, ice cream, poke bowls, burrito bowls, pizza, and so on.
Self sufficiency and frugality means a relaxed and happy life. I also more freely share what I make with others because it brings me joy to improve their lives. What is life for if not to live in peace and help others do the same? Bitcoin truly is enabling a peaceful revolution to a better way of life.

I was listening to the #WealthTwins podcast the other day and 2 things they said stood out to me.
"At some point the things you own start owning you."
and
"It's not about the money you make, it's about the money you keep."
Being #frugal is to be free. I have never been more relaxed than as a frugal Bitcoiner living sustainably and not caring about expensive things.
To me, having expensive things means to be worried about them breaking. If I break a $200 phone I'm a lot less worried than if I break a $1200 phone.
Case in point, I was strongly considering upgrading my 3 year old 65" TV that cost me $500, to a last year LG C3 OLED 77" for $1600. But I realized that I would be much more stressed about it breaking, not to mention it's much more fragile too, and thus would be less able to just enjoy it.
I upgrade when the things I'm upgrading to are not stressful to own due to their cost. I'm also less worried about theft. Life is much more relaxed this way, and I prefer it over getting to use the latest and greatest.

No advantage over #FIAT is laughable. #₿ being #debasement proof is it's biggest advantage over FIAT. The government's primary source of power, fueling it's ability to be a surveillance state, is it's ability to steal wealth by printing money which ₿ stops.
#Meanwhile BTC having it's block subsidy continually reduced by half every four years, thus pushing the value of every ₿ in existence up due to it's increasing marginal cost of production over time, is it's biggest advantage over #Monero.
It used to take 10 min to create ₿50 and they were worth much less, now it takes 160 min (2.66 hours) to create ₿50 and it's worth much more. In 12 years it will take 1280 min (21.33 hours) and in 40 years it will take 163840 min (2730.66 hours). Every time the halving occurs Bitcoin's time-cost of production doubles, dragging along the value of already existing coins with it. This relation to time is it's driving factor for value, and BTC's main reason for being the best store of value ever found.
Monero fixing it's subsidy to it's current tail emotions forever means it is never going to become more valuable related to time, so it's value is stagnant and loses to Bitcoin.
Despite Monero having better on chain privacy, it's inability to increase it's value relative to finite human time does nothing to fix our financial system. In addition, it will not bring about a new age of global abundance through incentivising the production of electricity globally (like Bitcoin does) to give our species the energy it needs to grow beyond our current abilities. Monero is very useful to those who use the darknet and prioritize privacy above all else, it is not very useful at freeing humanity from it's self imposed bondage. But Bitcoin is.

If we don't have them yet then we will soon. I think more about the macro effects of Bitcoin on society because the governments no longer have a money printer. Bitcoin's planned every 4 year halving events are superior to Monero's perpetual 0.45 (IIRC) block subsidy. Monero never becomes more valuable related to time anymore. Bitcoin does in perpetuity, which means it will grow in value in perpetuity.

I'm anything but. However until states are made obsolete (inevitable IMO, at least for states as we know them today) I see ₿ being used by states on their way to becoming insignificant compared to individuals who can prevent their assets being seized. The transparency of the Blockchain already allows us all to know when governments move ₿ (as recently happened with both the US government and the German government), and prevents them from printing money and moving massive sums around unnoticed.
The only reason we're currently afraid of being tracked as individuals is because governments have significantly more power due to their ability to print money and move it in secrecy. This power is slowly shifting due to the power Blockchain grants the individual to control their own economic energy outside of government interference and manipulation.
With billions of people, only the largest wallets will be paid attention to enough to matter once the government loses it's unlimited money source. Until then, small fry like us can just use common sense in how when and where we use our coins.

#Bitcoin is #revolutionary for many reasons but the 3 most important IMO are:
1: Absolute cap on units.
For the first time in history the entire world has #equal access not just to assets, but to assets that have a mathmatically enforced hard cap on their supply. Means Bitcoin can never be #debased by any person or group which prevents #theft through #inflation. Allowing everyone on earth a method to #preserve for their future the value of their contributions to society, without needing to #indebt someone else in the process (like what happens with buying #stocks and #bonds).
2: Connection to #time.
Every 10 min the value of the energy used by the entire #MiningNetwork is converted into Bitcoin. Every 210,000 blocks the amount of BTC produced in 10 min by the mining network gets cut in half.
Remember the value of everything trends toward its marginal cost of production, #FIAT has a marginal cost of production of ZERO which is why all FIAT trends towards a valuation of ZERO over time.
Bitcoin every 4 years raises its marginal cost of production 100% in relation to time. It used to take 10 min to make 50 BTC, then 20 min, then 40 min, then 80 min. Right now it takes 160 min to produce 50 BTC. Since time is the most valuable asset humans have, raising the time-cost of production pressures the value of each coin in the network to double every 4 years relative to Human time and we put more value on our time than anything else.
3: Connection to energy.
In addition to its connection to time, continually more miners compete for continually less coins. This is an organic raising of the cost of production of each coin in relation to cost for the electricity used as a function of market dynamics.
This forms a global unregulated free market trading pair between BTC and Electricity. Pushing the price of electricity down, while pushing the price of BTC in relation to its energy cost up.
The effects this will have on humanity are profound. The more there is of something the lower the cost and the more we can use it freely. Is there a cost to run cold air through a computer to cool down the components? No, because there is so much air that it has no cost. As Bitcoin continues to demand more and more energy, miners will respond to that by seeking out untapped sources of energy. This will overtime expand the availability of cheap energy globally, especially impactful in areas with poor populations and untapped natural energy sources nearby, allowing electricity to get ever closer to a marginal cost of production of ZERO everywhere on earth. Dropping the cost of renewable energy so low that fossil fuels become too expensive to use.
We won't need grid battery storage when so much energy is produced everywhere that energy generation itself becomes decentralized and abundant enough to more than handle the peak demand levels society itself requires even in emergencies.
No longer will #CarbonCapture technology or water #desalinization be prohibitively expensive. Allowing us to clean our atmosphere and provide clean water for everyone.
Considering all of this, I believe Bitcoin is the first technology that realistically gives us a way to become a #Kardashev level 1 Civilization.
As this transition to a world of free energy occurs, everyone who holds Bitcoin benefits from this shift in value and sees the value of their savings continually go up with the entire network in relation to the time and energy needed to produce new coins, which helps pull people out of poverty and increase global prosperity.
Bitcoin's effects on society will in the future lead to it being considered the greatest technology humanity has ever created. Bitcoin is freedom. Bitcoin is prosperity. Bitcoin is abundance. Bitcoin is the secured #SavingsAccount of all of humanity combined. We are privileged to be alive during it's existence.

#Bitcoin with its public #blockchain is superior to #Monero. Not even mentioning it's first mover advantage which makes it exceedingly difficult for new competitors to catch up and meet or exceed the same momentum. Bitcoin is such a leap beyond anything that came before it, and coming first means it's the most likely to succeed long term compared to any potentially mildly improved assets.

No, Bitcoin on chain transactions being public is a feature not a bug. Layer 2 will give small transactions the anonymity they need, but when transferring significant sums of money everyone should be able to see it. I'm not talking about transactions of more than $10,000, I'm talking the equivalent value of millions or billions of dollars in Bitcoin.

The modern #US (and global) #economy is so heavily influenced and controlled by government that it's closer to a #fascist economy than a #capitalist one.
I used to consider myself #democraticsocialist thinking that #capitalism was the driver of the concentration of wealth, but now I realize that #FIATcurrency is the true primary cause of our problems and pushes society towards #Fascism over time.
#FIAT gives #government the ability to pick and choose who wins through subsidies and regulation, and drives business to flee the currency by buying other businesses which drives the development of #monopolies. Adding in #socialism meanwhile just enhances the power of the state to control our lives which makes our problems worse by pretending to make it better.
The way forward is #BitcoinCapitalism which ultimately restores #FreeMarketCapitalism. Capitalism without a meddling government that has an unlimited money printer fucking it all up, is the ultimate economic system for #prosperity.
Bitcoin is financial #Penicillin for the sick financial system currently running our society. I can't wait for our global Bitcoin economy, it'll be beautiful. 😍

So I'm #exmormon, and I'm a #Bitcoiner. I watched an old #Mormon comedy for the first time in a decade and something hit me.
When I was learning the #truth about how my Mormon worldview was a lie, and I tried to talk about it with fellow Mormons, nobody wanted to listen. I was essentially seen as a conspiracy theorist.
I get the exact same feeling learning that our entire global financial system is a #lie, with Fiat improvising everyone and robbing us constantly through debasement of our currencies, and nobody wants to listen when I try to talk about it and how Bitcoin fixes it. I'm seen as a conspiracy theorist.
I think the main thing is people don't like making their own decisions, it's scary. Both the Mormon Church and the Global Banking System are seen as trusted authorities by the people within those systems. Leaving Mormonism/The Banking System is seen as the scary wild west so most people don't want to even learn about it... but once they do they can never go back. You can't unlearn that there's no Santa Claus.

People say owning #BTC is bad for the #economy as it doesn't put your money to work. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
Every person, company, or country that holds BTC on their balance sheet is boosted by every purchase of BTC, because when you convert your economic energy into BTC, the entire network sees that value boost it's market cap.
Effectively, BTC is a single "stock" representing the entire BTC economy, when you buy BTC you're supporting the global BTC #ecosystem. All individual #HODLers, BTC #miners, BTC companies, and countries that embrace BTC as legal tender, share that value added benefit to the network as your personal demand slightly increases the price, that increase then draws new business and effort into the BTC economy which further increases the price and draws new buyers looking to get in like a continuous feedback loop.
Putting your economic energy into BTC is great for the BTC economy, it's only bad for the #FIAT #debtslavery economy, but that's kinda the point isn't it?
