Last Notes npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I have been super busy with my local business and work. This July was a good month for sales and service, the best I can remember having since working solo. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Agreed! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I sold two laptops with Linux last Friday. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I am really liking LXQt - lex-cute - desktop. The defaults are just below desirable, but with just a bit of customizing LXQt is really good. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I installed LXQt desktop on my laptop, as I have been using it on a desktop for a while. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Midori has been around forever, so built on a solid base. I haven't yet used the current version, but I plan to soon. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Years ago, I remember using the Midori web browser, usually on lower powered devices. Looks like it has continued to be developed with an interesting Open Source group: Astian. They also have a crypto wallet with Bitcoin Cash supported. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Very cool. Great that you have had that experience. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Very cool that you have tried Linux. Hope you can find an external USB drive for bootable live linux. Only needs to be 4GB (or larger). npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew A few more tweaks to the LXQt desktop. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I have installed the LXQT version of Vendefoul Wolf Linux on a ThinkCentre Tiny M700. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Most of the time, I recommend Linux. I am typing from a Linux laptop as I write this message. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Microsoft Windows Drops Under 60% in Global Desktop OS Share for the First Time in Years npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew "It is probably most intensely felt in U.S. cities. Nowhere else is poverty treated at greater cost. Nowhere else does the treatment of poverty produce so much dependence, anger, frustration, and further demands. And nowhere else should it be so evident that poverty-once it has become modernized-has become resistant to treatment with dollars alone and requires an institutional revolution." npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I think it could probably be found or purchased as an e-book. I listened to the audio book version, but would like to revisit and read the print version. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I highly recommend this book. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Here's the website about it that explains more: npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew The language is modeled on the Declaration Of Independence of the Unites States of America. As a result, some of the English used may be hard to understand. Feel free to use a translator or dictionary if you are not a native English speaker ( or even if you are! ) npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Glad you did. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you for pointing it out... npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew The Declaration of the Founding of the Lateral Tech Foundation npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Let us know what you find. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew You can join by subscribing at https://retroedgetech.substack.com/ npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Yes, you can subscribe at https://retroedgetech.substack.com/ npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Well written. Good of you to bring attention to this. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you. I did have a good 4th of July. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thanks Kashif. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Welcome! Good to have you here. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew It could be! Odds are good, but still unlikely that any one person's name will be "pulled out of the hat" (randomly drawn). npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I just announced the winner of my weekly giveaway. If you are a subscriber, check your email or see the announcement post, linked below, to see if you won. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew And yes, I still am repairing PC and laptop computers. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew For physical cleaning, I have a special blower that I use to blow out dust. I just used that today on a really dusty desktop PC. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good morning! You live in the future, as I believe it is already Saturday for you. I am still in Friday evening (time zones). npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Wow! A lot of things happened in my life this last week. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Hello and welcome. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Welcome back. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Proof of Work picture! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Right now I don't have a whole lot of time for exploring the tech stuff I'd like. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Sometimes I wish that I was more motivated by money. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Physical cash also works well for this (though originally issued by central banks). npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew If you can copy the important data off the damaged drive another way, that is perhaps better than CloneZilla. I needed to rescue the whole Windows system with installed software for a business client. I had to used the advanced mode with the '-rescue' option that would keep reading even when encountering bad sectors. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I was able to successfully copy a hard disk drive that was failing with bad sectors to another good storage drive using the tool CloneZilla. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Do you have an idea of what kind of business you want to own ? npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thanks Mary. Is that location for away from you or close? npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew "Made in Philippines" npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good morning and Welcome! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Welcome. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Great that you got a laptop! You really can do a lot of productive work with a personal computer. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew No need to subscribe again. Once subscribed, you have a chance to win every week. You don't have to do anything more, except open the email announcements, read and check to see if you are the winner. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew If you are already subscribed, you have a chance to win every week. You do not need to do anything more. Just open and read the emails when I send out an announcement to see if you are the winner. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Every week, I do a drawing for a computer giveaway. I use the Linux core utility 'shuf' to randomly select a subscriber of my email newsletter. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good morning Cherry. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Be careful. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Trading can be very risky. Most traders do not win. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good morning. Hope your crafting project goes well. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Welcome. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew "There are two ways PC makers can offer low-cost computers. One is to use newer components that are designed to be cheap. Another is to select older components that used to cost a lot of money, but which can now be purchased at a discount." npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Yes. Most of the computers I have are inexpensive. I prefer using older computers. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew nVidia graphics cards are often used in PC gaming, but can also be used for work tasks too. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew For traveling, I have a ThinkPad laptop. I have a front desk Tiny desktop computer and then another couple other desktop computers for other work. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good morning. Hope you have a great weekend. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I mostly use the same. From the ThinkPad T470s laptop I am typing on now, I have Intel integrated graphics. My front desk ThinkCentre M710q Tiny also have Intel integrated graphics. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew #nVidia #GraphicsCard npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Toyota has a good reputation. Hope it works well for you. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Chicken and fish are really good. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Eating less carbs and more beef has been good for me. Hope you continue to see positive results! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew > ASCII (pronounced “as-key”) is short for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. This is a simple encoding scheme that was first used on Tele-type machines to map keyboard characters to numbers. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew No problem. I enjoy being outside too and green is a calming color. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thanks. I am happy with how the writing turned out in this newsletter. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good morning! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew The odds of winning are good, especially compared to a state lottery... but still unlikely that any one person will be next week's winner. Someone will be. And you get a chance to win every week! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I don't think you can be kicked out as you can use your nostr private key to login to other nostr clients and post from their. Your nsec (nostr secret) is kind of like the private key to a Bitcoin Cash wallet, but instead is the private key for your nostr account. So you can't really be kicked off nostr... but possibly could be blocked from using BCHNostr web application or you could not be counted in the count of active BCHNostr users. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you for reading! I appreciate it. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Good question. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I just published my weekly email newsletter. Topic is on Encryption and Digital Cash. Also announced the winner of my weekly giveaway: npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Very cool. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Bad news is that most people won't be able to buy a vehicle with investing profits alone. Building some kind of business is a more reliable way to make money (BCH included). npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Toyota has a good reputation, for sure. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Those priorities are more important than a "dream car". npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew No problem. Good to know there's an issue. Don't feel obligated to tip back. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I'll try tipping you now. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I do. Maybe a glitch in the BCHnostr web app. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I'd love to own this vehicle! Maybe someday. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Okay, I have to get some sleep. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew No you don't need to install the Substack app. I can private message you to confirm I got your email. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I think it is a "feature" of nostr in that the original note still exists. But looks like Reply Guy is already thinking out a possible solution so only the most recent updated post shows up in your list of posts. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you. I just added it after I saw your post. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Welcome. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I like this quote. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew If you haven't already, set up your BCH address in your profile. If you need help, perhaps ask the person who invited you. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I'll send you a private message to ask you for your email. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Welcome. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I appreciate that. Thanks for following! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Thank you for subscribing! npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew It is a random drawing, so while there is a chance you can win - everyone else also has a chance. The good thing is that you have a chance to win every week. So much better odds than a state lottery. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew I will add you to the list. No problem. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Feel free to DM me your email address and I can add you. npub1hrjtmuryqz82hxzpvv5ulrcxxgrw42afax8n7d9cnnz0zrrq44tqpv3ft3 Matthew Congratulations on your new job!
