At the beginning of the year I hopped on, as a 2nd, on my wife's Spotify; good family deal. It was only just this weekend that i realised I hadn't listened to any Thin Lizzy in ages! Been rectifying that situation.

Difficult putting a positive spin on the prospect of more shit and nobody to vote for. Still, we will put pen to paper on the 4th. Once again hoping that the rest of the nation are not selfish one-policy voters.

Hi :¬) You don't need to tell me why. I've been using Linux at home for a little while (I remember when KDE 1.something became KDE2. I remember realising that SUSE .0 releases where "hold your breath!" and being glad by the time they got to .3s lol 6.3/7.3 and on). I've been a lazy Ubuntu user for over a decade; shit just works for what I currently need.
Anyway, ham radio seems like a cool subject. Are you able to point me in the direction of (linux leaning) learning sources?

You don't need luck. Here are the steps:
Buy 5 weeks worth of water for two people.
Buy BTC books on How & Why.
Print off two booklets you make on the How & Why of Nostr.
Lock you parents and the stuff in your bedroom and don't let them out until they can answer all your questions, set up and fund a hodl-only wallet and also have a working Nostr account each with a least a week of meme poasting.

There are those, such as myself, who have no problem in 'dipping in and out' of their timelines to see what's 'in the moment'. Also, I'm free to chose any algo I want, or create one for my own use.

The movement and colour caught my eye, in the side mirror, as this family started across the road behind me. Quick as a flash, i half turned half pointed and 'snap'! 📸
Love the colour play and the depth of the shot, from the boy backwards to the Dad and across the common to the buildings beyond.

This afternoon we ventured out to see what the swans were up to. So glad I took my camera along because I saw this guy having Water Skiing lessons. All shots were taken using a manual focus, 35mm f1.8. lens. Who says 'action shots' and 'manual focus' don't mix!?
Images are straight out of camera except for maybe a half EV tweak on exposure and the lovely "cinemascope" crop (minimal, for focus).

Went for a walk, with my kid, this afternoon. We both took our cameras, just to snag a few snaps.
Managed to catch a nice break with the shots, which was cool. I was walking around in Aperture Priority, with Hi+ Burst and Focus Tracking as there was plenty of waterfowl.
